It's an amazing car to have and its smooth to drive and it's great on gas I usually get up to about 32 miles a gallon and if you ask me that's not bad but the interior isn't all that great it has its wears and tears but thats okay as long as it gets me to where I need to go and I have to say it's the best car I've ever had!

I was skeptical at first but once I drove the maxima I fell in love  I would not trade it for nothing I love that it's 4 door good sound system aI love the color and my payments aren't high at all I wouldn't change anything I would most definitely buy another one

This car has been great for the teenage driver in the family. She has good gas mileage for college classes and it has back up camera features to keep her from backing in to someone. Sh has plenty of room to hold herself and the siblings.

Good car for new teenage drivers.

This car is very sporty and fast, with 265 HP and sport mode manual shift 5 speed automatic transmission it will throw you back in your seat, and out accelerate most cars in its class. It's a sedan so it's very family friendly, and doesn't draw attention like a sports car, making it perfect for the family man that also wants something just at home on the track as it is taking the kids school. It gets decent gas mileage, I average about 13mpg in the city and about 24 mpg on the highway, it seems to get better mpg in sport mode as it feels like the torque converter locks in every gear and in drive there is more slip to allow for smoother acceleration.

Family man's sport car

This is the first car I've owned, I usually drive SUVs. The Nissan Maxima is excellent on gas mileage. I can fill my tank with $40 and it lasts me 2 weeks, even with all the driving I do daily. The interior is lovely, though the leather seats tend to get pretty hot in the summer months. I'd recommend a seat cover or towel so you don't burn your legs. Driving performance is superb-- we just took a 2 hour drive over a rough mountain and it pulled like a champ. Brakes were perfect going down the 7% grade as well. The anti-theft system works like a charm too! Seat belts fit comfortably in all seats, though the back seat is a tight squeeze for adults, even with the front seats up as far as the driver and passenger can put them. Trunk space is immaculate for being a 4 door little car. I can fit a month's worth of groceries in this car between the trunk and back seat! Overall, I don't think I'll ever part with this car until it's time for it to go to the car graveyard. Despite being a 1999, the only issues we've had have been wear and tear related and not engine related. It's still running strong at nearly 300k miles and I plan to keep it running until it can't anymore.

Fast car. Very comfortable. Good gas mileage. A little low for country life. Handles well. Affordable. Worth the price.  I would buy again. Nissan  is a great brand. Good.  Great. Okay
