The BMW 5 Series now comes in three different engines, the 528i model equips a 2.0 Litre turbocharged inline 4 engine that produces 240 horsepower and 255 lb-feet of torque. The 535i features a 3.0 Litre turbocharged inline 6 engine that churns out 300 horsepower and 300 lb.-ft of torque, while the 550i packs a 4.4 Litre turbocharged V8 engine that produces 400 horsepower and 450 lb-ft of torque. All variants include an 8-speed Steptronic automatic transmission.
In terms of performance, the 528i with a turbocharged Inline 4 engine can reach 60 mph in 6.4 seconds, whereas the turbocharged 3.0 liter inline 6 engine achieves the same feat in 5.9 seconds. The 550i with 4.4 Litre V8 engine takes 5.2 seconds for the same. In the top speed test, the 528i records 131 MPH, which is the least in the segment.
