"Everything works wonderfully, but the design, textures and materials put its visual appeal in the bottom half of the segment." - Kelley Blue Book
Better-than-average front seats in the 2011 Honda Civic afford good support and a great driving position, helping in decent ergonomics. Even in base cars, the height-adjustable seats leave great headroom for tall drivers, though the seat cushions themselves are a bit short and drivers should make sure their knee doesn't rest against the hard handbrake lever.
The Civic's dash features an unusual gauge layout. An analog tachometer is in the traditional location behind the steering wheel, but a digital speedometer and gas gauge reside at the base of the windshield. Some of our editors find the two-tier display distracting, though others say it makes quick visual checks of speed easier.

Going by the dimensions, the Civic suffers in the rear row as its 2nd row legroom is 2-inch smaller than Corolla and 1.2-inch more cramped than the Mazda 3. While the Elantra outclasses the Civic in cargo volume by 2.8 cu-ft. For entertainment one has been given a 4-speaker audio as standard for the base DX.
In addition to these, the Civic also offers an AM/FM radio, and a CD player along with Bluetooth, a USB port, and a satellite radio. But the navigation system is available only for specific trims and that too as an optional. Some of the notable interior features have been mentioned below:
- Adjustable Steering Wheel
- Auxiliary Power Outlet
- Ambient interior lighting
- Bucket Seats
- AM/FM Stereo
- CD Changer
- Bluetooth
- USB port
