2011 jeep compass

Pros

Drives and rides comfortably, Reliable from the start

Cons

Not spacious enough, The radio went out within a month of having the vehicle

Hi! Just wanting to give others my opinion on my 2011 jeep compass.. we've had it for a few years now, and I can honestly say I really like it! It's my daily driver and has been reliable for us without any major issues or fixes ( normal upkeep). It drives and rides comfortably which is something I am personally picky about! The seats are nice and comfy, they are not leather seating. This vehicle ... Read more

2011 Jeep Compass Review

It is one of the affordable SUVs out there starting at a base price of $19,295 while the top-of-the-line Limited trim can go up to $24,295. Thus the Jeep Compass competes with equally capable vehicles like the Honda CR-V and the Toyota RAV4.

The 2011 Jeep Compass receives few styling upgrades in the interior as well as the exterior of the vehicle. It still carries the two engine options that provide great overall performance while being efficient on the fuel economy. It provides great interior spacing for all the passengers while providing great comfort as well. We Recommend

We would recommend opting for the Limited variant because it packs in more features that improve the overall experience of owning the 2011 Jeep Compass. Along with that, it is also equipped with a slightly better 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that makes better power as compared to the base engine that is available on the base trim. Thus at a price of $24,295 the Limited trim offers the best value for the money spent.

Engine and Performance
7.5/10

The 2011 Jeep Compass is available in two engine options. The first one is the base 2-liter inline 4-cylinder engine that generates 158 HP along with 141 lb-feet of torque. The second is a slightly better and bigger 2.4-liter 4-cylinder engine that generates around 172 HP along with 165-pound feet of torque. Both the engines are mated with a five-speed manual gearbox while there is an option to opt for a continuously variable transmission.

The power is delivered to the front wheel as standard and there is an option to opt for a four-wheel-drive system. The transmission is not quick enough and takes almost 9.8 seconds to reach from 0 to 60 mph. Similarly, the quarter-mile distance is covered in 17.5 seconds. The Jeep Compass has a top speed of 112 mph, which is slightly lower as compared to some of its competitors.

Interior
8.0/10

The interior of the 2011 Jeep Compass is well-designed and provides a minimalistic look. Overall the interior is spacious and provides one of the best headroom for the front as well as the rear-seat passengers. Soft-touch materials are seen on most of the panels inside the interior, which does give it a premium feel.

The seats are comfortable and provide enough bolstering for long rides. Along with that, the Jeep Compass has a cargo capacity of 22.7 cubic feet behind the rear seats while with the rear seats folded the cargo capacity improves to 53.6 cubic feet. Even if this is a lot of space for accommodating your cargo, it still lacks when compared to its rivals.

Exterior
7.0/10

The exterior of the 2011 Jeep Compass carries the iconic Jeep design philosophy with the front vertical slit grills surrounded by chrome linings. The Jeep takes a menacing stand with its bigger 18-inch alloy wheels on the top models. Along with that it also gets exterior chrome accents, roof rails, and fog lamps.

The Jeep Compass is the lightest in comparison with a curb weight of 3,082 pounds. It has a very small overall footprint as compared to its rivals with a length of 173 inches, a width of 69 inches, and a height of 65 inches. Final Verdict

The 2011 Jeep Compass provides a complete package with its two engine options that provide great performance overall. It is definitely very slow on acceleration, but it does provide great fuel economy in this segment. The compass provides best-in-class spacing for the passengers inside the cabin, while it does lack a bit in terms of cargo capacity when compared to its rivals. Thus if you are looking for a great SUV with amazing fuel economy while still being affordable, the 2011 Jeep Compass should definitely be on your list.
