2011 Lexus GS 450h hybrid Review

Pros

  • Superb Performance
  • Quiet Cabin
  • Great fit and finish

Cons

  • Small cargo area
  • Low on fuel economy considering that it’s a hybrid

The 2011 Lexus GS450h has been launched in one trim level and a 3..5-liter V6 hybrid engine

Overview

The 2011 Lexus GS 450h is one of the very few luxury hybrids available and offers a strong engine coupled with a CVT to provide great power outputs while offering better fuel efficiency. The GS 450h is priced at $58,950, which might seem a bit expensive, as for the same price, much more powerful cars are available but competition at this price range with hybrid powertrains cannot be found. Exterior
7.9/10

The GS 450h looks elegant and beautiful on the outside. The front end looks pretty with the sleek grille and HID headlamps but the auxiliary lights integrated inwards to each headlight look quite boring and do affect the overall beauty of the otherwise nice-looking exterior.

The GS 450h weighs 4,134 lbs, which is on the lower side of the spectrum. It also has a decent ground clearance of 5.1 inches.

Final Verdict

The 2011 Lexus GS 450h is a superb-looking machine delivering an ultra-luxurious interior along with comparatively better fuel efficiency than its entirely gas power rivals. It also manages to offer great driving dynamics and impressive handling. The GS 450h should only be the primary option if what you want is the added fuel economy of a hybrid, as there is no competition for this machine in that sense, otherwise, better options are available in the gas-powered segment.
