Overall Rating
The Kia Sorento is a modern utilitarian vehicle from the Korean brand and is one of the most value-for-money offerings in the market at present. The SUV gets two powertrain options, a fuel-efficient 2.4-liter I-4 motor and a more powerful  3.5-liter V-6 motor for better performance and increased towing capacity.
The 2013 Kia Sorento is one of the most modern SUVs currently available in the market. The three engine options available provide great overall performance, especially the 3.5-liter V6 engine. The base engines provide great fuel economy but are not at all quick in acceleration. The interior in this Kia is well laid out and provides great comfort with the standard features available from the base variant itself. It starts at a base price of $24,000 and can move up to $32,000 for the top trim. Hence the Sorento competes with the likes of Chevrolet Equinox and the Toyota Highlander.
We would recommend opting for the EX trim if you are okay with the lower-powered 2.4-liter engine. We prefer the EX over the LX is due to the additional features like the automatic headlights, dual-zone automatic climate control. Leather upholstery and 8-way power driver seat. All this at a price of $28,000 which provides the best value for the money spent. If the 2.4-liter engine is less for your purpose, you can definitely go for the top trim which gets the 3.5-liter V6 engine.
