The US automotive market had a special place for luxury SUVs, and Lexus GX 460 managed to fill that space for the last 4 years with its proven on-road and off-road capabilities. The 2013 Lexus GX 460 hasn’t evolved much from 2010 except for a few changes in its interior and infotainment system. It is powered by a strong engine and offers a pliant drive experience.
The Lexus offers two trims i.e the Base and Premium trim levels of this luxurious SUV that can seat 7 people. It falls in a price range that extends from $53,795 for its base variant and goes up to $58,590 for its top-rack variant. We Recommend
Both the trims of Lexus GX 460 sport the same engine controlled by the same six-speed automatic transmission. Many options deemed premium in most other vehicles come standard with this SUV. The only difference is that Premium trim offers some more advanced features than the Base variant. We recommend buying the base variant as you won’t notice a huge difference in terms of performance and comfort.
The 2013 Lexus GX 460 is powered by a 4.6 Litre V8 engine that churns out 301 horsepower and 329 lb.-ft of torque. It is mated to a six-speed automatic transmission that delivers power to all four wheels (four-wheel drive).
It features a Kinetic Dynamic Suspension system that lets drivers choose between Comfort and Sport modes. In terms of performance, the GX 460 with the 4.6 Litre V8 engine can reach 60 mph in 7.8 seconds, while it takes 16.6 seconds to reach a quarter-mile. In the top speed test, the GX records 110 MPH.

The 2013 Lexus GX 460’s interior hasn’t changed much from the previous generation. Just as we expect from a typical Lexus car, the GX 460 too does not disappoint us with its elegance, style, and class. It offers a spacious cabin that's designed with precision and care. We get a leather-wrapped heated steering wheel as standard. The front passengers can enjoy more legroom, while the rear and second row can’t accommodate large adults.
The seats offer leather upholstery that is soothing especially when driving for longer times. It features driver and front passenger heated-cushion, heated-seatback, and heated front seats and in the Premium variant. We get the heated second-row seats as well. The ride quality isn’t commendable as one may feel exhausted driving for more time on a highway due to its unrefined engine performance. It offers a cargo space of 11.6 cu.-ft, which is the least in this class.

If you are looking for a performance car for daily use in the busy streets with some brisk acceleration and response, we recommend looking out for other cars such as the GL-Class and QX56.
