The Nissan 370Z lineup is powered by two different versions of V6 engines. The base and Touring trims equip the 3.7-liter V6 engine that puts out 332 horsepower and 270 lb.-ft of torque while the Nismo variant houses a specially tuned 3.7-liter V6 engine that produces 350 horsepower and 276 lb-ft of torque. 

Both these engines are paired to a six-speed manual transmission by default, which can be maxed out to a seven-speed automatic with shift paddles and the SynchroRev manual transmission. In terms of performance, the Nissan 370Z with a 33.7-literV6 engine can hit 60 mph in 5.4 seconds and a quarter-mile in 13.3 seconds, whereas the tuned V6 engine achieves the same feat in 4.9 seconds. In the top speed test, the 370Z records 155 MPH.

In comparison, both the Ford Mustang and Chevrolet Camaro are equipped with 3.7 Litre and 3.6 Litre V6 engines respectively. All cars in the segment are mated as Rear-wheel-drive variants only. The 2013 Nissan 370Z is not a fuel-efficient car due to its beefy engines and this turns out to be a major setback for this coupe. The base variant ekes out a mileage of 18 mi in the city and 26 mi on the highway, averaging 21 mi. It features a fuel tank of 19 gallons capacity which is the largest in this segment. The 2013 Nissan 370Z features a simple and driver-centric cabin. The interior doesn’t see any major changes for 2013. The quality of the materials used is average and most of the drivers won’t be satisfied. The cabin isn’t well refined as there’s too much engine noise. There’s nothing in this cabin to mention, as everything is pretty much the same as its predecessor.

Behind the wheel, we get to sit in well-designed leather/faux suede upholstery seats that are sporty and offer decent comfort. And then, we get a leather-wrapped steering wheel that is quite decent and ideal. It offers a room for two people and is spacious enough to accommodate two long-limbed adults. It offers a cargo space of just 6.9 cu.-ft which is fair considering the motive of this car.

In comparison, the Ford Mustang offers a room for 4 people and it offers a cargo space of 13.4 cu.-ft that’s enough for a certain amount of people.
