Used 2014 Nissan 370Z Sport Tech for sale 

The 370Z is offered in 3 main trims: Base, Touring, and Nismo. The top-end Nismo trim will be reviewed separately. There is one engine on offer, and the Nismo gets a better-tuned version of this same engine. The price starts from $29,990 for the base variant and goes all the way up to $35,270 for the top-of-the-line Touring trim. Standard features for all the trims include a lot of exterior features like bi-xenon headlamps, heated mirrors, LED running lights, 18-inch wheels, performance tires, etc and cruise control, climate control on the inside.

You have the option of adding a Sports package to either of Base and Touring. This package includes some important performance upgrades like a limited-slip differential, rear spoiler, automatic rev-matching, damped suspension, and better brakes. There is also a Navigation package that adds better tech for your convenience inside.

We Recommend 

We recommend the Touring trim with the Sports package and the Navigation package. The Nismo is a very cosmetic-focused upgrade, something that we don’t feel is worth paying the extra few dollars for. The Touring does the job of being a sports car, and the only other recommendation would be to get the convertible if not the coupe.

The Nissan offers a 3.7L V6 that makes 332 hp @7000 rpm and 270 lb.-ft @5200 rpm. It comes with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 7-speed automatic transmission, and both these gearbox options perform well.

However, the enthusiast will prefer the manual gearbox option for better shifts. The Nissan 370 Z is a rear-wheel-drive car. The car takes 5.3 seconds to reach the 60 mph mark and crosses the quarter-mile in 13.5 seconds.

The Nissan is one of the quickest sports cars you can ever buy. With a 0-60 mph in less than 5.3 seconds, this car is worth every penny performance-wise. The car is propelled forward and reaches the quarter-mile in 13.5 seconds, losing to the Mustang GT by a mere 0.3 seconds. The Scion really impresses with its performance, even though it does not have that much torque or horsepower. The Nissan 370Z’s manual transmission is slick and gear changes are smooth. The car has a top speed of 154 mph.

As a sports car goes, they love to burn a lot of gasoline, and hence we can’t expect much from Nissan as well in terms of fuel economy. It has okay figures of mileage, measuring 18 mpg in the city & 26 mpg on the highway for the manual, and 19 mpg in the city & 26 mpg on the highway for the automatic. It has a tank size of 19 gallons, which results in a highway range of 494 miles.

The reason this car still sells so well is also because of the economy you can extract from this car. Even though the FR-S gives the highest mileage, it suffers in the tank capacity and thus gives the least range of the three. The GT is also the same story but gives a better range thanks to its 16-gallon tank. The 19-gallon tank on the 370Z gives the car a city range of 342 miles and a highway range of 494 miles, very impressive figures for a sports car!

The classic 3 gauge cluster is still the most attractive part of this interior. It makes the driver feel like a race-car driver. The blacked-out interior with metallic finishes and a lot of soft-touch finishes give this car a very sporty and premium interior.

The only problem with this interior is the thick rear roof pillars combined with the small windows as they limit the visibility you can have of the world behind you, and that can be a problem. The car comes with a cargo capacity of 6.9 cubic feet.

The front row seats of the Nissan are very comfortable and offer a lot of thigh and back support as well. The fact that they are adjustable allows for a very comfortable position while driving this car. The other two cars are comfortable on a similar scale. The other two cars, however, have an extra second row of seats at the rear, which gives the advantage of carrying more passengers. The Nissan and the Scion have non-existent trunk storage at 6.9 cubic feet. The GT does much better with a 13.4 cubic feet storage. Major interior features include-

How intuitive is the 2014 Nissan 370Z’s infotainment system?

For the Base trim, all you get is a CD player with a 4-speaker sound system and an auxiliary jack. The Touring model is better equipped and gets satellite radio, Bluetooth connectivity, and an 8-speaker Bose system.

There is also an optional Navigation package that adds a 7” touchscreen, navigation system, and an iPod/USB interface. Some important infotainment features include:

The 370Z is one of the best-looking cars, and we’re happy that Nissan didn’t change the design, except for a few minor tweaks here and there. The car looks sharp, ready to race and smoke the competition. The car features a long nose, characterized by sharp lines along the middle of the nose and neat-looking headlamps.

The car sports a grille located quite near the ground, which gives it a very low appearance. The indicators are very uniquely placed, vertically along with the front bumper. The rear has similarly shaped taillights and the Nissan badge in the center. The sporty look of the car is completed by chrome-finished dual exhausts at the bottom.

The lightweight of the Scion FR-S is what helps it achieve such good performance numbers. Dimensions-wise, it is the smallest car in all proportions, and close to the ground as well. The GT is the heaviest car and has the longest wheelbase. Even with such huge dimensions, it performs better than the other two in the quarter-mile time. The 370Z is the middle car in terms of dimensions and has the shortest wheelbase. This helps the car be nimble and is very easy to handle. Some exterior features on the Nissan are:

The Nissan 370Z gets antilock disc brakes, stability control, traction control, and airbags on the front and the sides. The Navigation package offers a rear-view camera. The downside of the car is the thick rear pillars that block most of the rear visibility. The car has not been tested by either the NHTSA and the IIHS for its safety rating. The 2014 Nissan 370Z, like its predecessors, carries on its sports legacy forward this year as well. The car has impressive power and performance to back its legacy. It is a single car force standing tall against the newer more practical and sporty cars, but it still makes a statement for itself. If you can live with the hard ride and noisy cabin, then you’ll have no complaints against the Nissan 370Z.
