We would recommend you opt for the Prestige trim with the AWD layout for a complete SUV experience. You can also further enhance your experience with the Navigation Plus package that steps up the navigation system to another level.
The Audi Q3 is powered by a turbocharged 2.0liter four-pot motor and runs on premium unleaded fuel. The motor is good for 200 horsepower and 207lb-ft of torque. The refinement levels of the motor are commendable and there is negligible throttle lag when you want sudden and brisk acceleration to perform an overtaking maneuver. The motor remains silent most of the time and the sound-deadening materials further filter out all the noise once the hood is shut. The drivetrain layout comes in two forms, an FWD and an AWD Quattro system.
The Quattro system is the most preferred one since it enhances the practicality of the SUV to a great extent. The 6-speed automatic transmission works extremely efficiently and manages all the power from the motor quite efficiently and effectively. The handling of the SUV is fantastic and a 0-60mph run takes 8.0 seconds, making it on par with the rivals.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 has a slightly better horsepower count but a significantly higher torque output than the Q3, offering better overall performance. The BMW X1 is the real charmer here with the highest power and torque figures at its disposal.
Breaking the age-old concept that luxury vehicles are less fuel-efficient, the Audi Q3 emerges as a shining example of just the opposite. The SUV returns an impressive 20mpg of city mileage and excellent highway mileage of 29mpg. The combined mileage is rated at 25mpg.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 offers significantly better mileage than the Q3 despite having a higher power and performance output. The BMW X1 equally impresses with its gas mileage since it is the most powerful one among the rivals on the list.
Being the smallest and the cheapest SUV from the big-shot German brand, Audi has carefully crafted the interior of the Q3 with enough attention to details that it gives to its other higher-priced vehicles. The dashboard comes with a cockpit-style design and the center console is designed to be easily accessible by the driver, thus eliminating any chances of distraction while driving. All the materials starting from the switchgear to the cabin panels, are made out of premium quality materials as you’d find on any similarly priced SUVs and the premium leather upholstery gives that much-desired premium feel.
The front seats offer superior comfort levels with excellent cushioning and adequate support, making both short and long trips quite comfortable. The rear seats are where the problem lies. Owing to the SUVs sloping roofline and the firm cushioning of the seats, the headroom and legroom are comparatively tighter in the Q3 as opposed to any of its rivals and tall adults will find it considerably uncomfortable over long trips, but it is just fine for kids or keeping that extra luggage while you’re traveling alone.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 offers a much better cabin space than the Q3 with a comfortable and spacious rear seating space. The BMW X1 has the best headroom and legroom on offer for both the front and rear passengers as compared to the three rivals on the list.
Interior features:
Audi has always pleased its customers in the infotainment department with its fabulous MMI system that can be found on almost all Audi vehicles as standard or are offered as an option.
The standard features of the Q3’s infotainment system include Bluetooth phone and audio connectivity, the MMI infotainment system with a pop-up 7-inch display screen, and a 10-speaker sound system with satellite radio, a CD player, and Audi's proprietary digital music interface. The Prestige trim also has the Audi connect system that channels LTE data to the car and turns it into a wireless hotspot.
Highlighted infotainment features of the Q3 are:
The design of the 2015 Q3 is nothing extraordinary or fancy but does a good job of appealing to the buyers right at the first glance. Its design is heavily inspired by its bigger sibling, the Q5 SUV, but has a much more compact yet expressive overall design language.
The front-end of the SUV gradually slopes towards the front making it more humble and understated rather than being brawny and aggressive. The wide and blacked-out front grille looks nice and is flanked by a pair of sleek yet powerful LED headlamps. The side-profile looks slender but has a distinct stout feeling to it and the fenders are not much curved to give it a faux rugged appearance.

The Mercedes-Benz GLA 250 has a sleeker and aerodynamic design with a short and sloping roofline, giving it a sedan-like appearance. The BMW X1 looks like a proper compact SUV like the Q3 but its heavily sedan-inspired design at the front makes it unappealing beside the rivals.
Exterior features:
The Audi Q3 doesn’t have any crash ratings either from the IIHS or the NHTSA but comes with almost all the basic safety aids to keep the passengers from harm’s way. The standard safety techs include stability and traction control, front side airbags, and side curtain airbags. The available Driver Assistance package further adds front and rear parking sensors, a rearview camera, and a blind spot monitoring system.
Some highlighted safety features of the Q3 are:
The Audi Q3 will serve as a perfect utility vehicle for those who prefer to travel alone or with minimal passengers at the back. It has a punchy performance, a fantastic Quattro system, a decently equipped interior, and an excellent driver-oriented front cockpit to offer the maximum driving experience at all times. To sum it up, you must look beyond its attractive appeal if you wish to travel with passengers in your backseat.
