We Recommend

If you would be content with the base V6 engine, we would recommend you to go for the Base trim, as it offers the best features at that price. But if you wish for the much more powerful supercharged V8 engine, the Supercharged trim is the one for you. The powerful engine provides much better performance, while the trim adds bigger wheels and a better terrain response system.

Engine and Performance
8.4/10

The 2015 Range Rover is available in two engine options. The base is a 3-liter supercharged V6 engine that generates 340 hp along with 332 lb-ft of torque. The second is a much more powerful 5-liter supercharged V8 engine that provides a staggering 510 hp along with 461 lb.ft of torque.

Both the engines are mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission that delivers the power to all four wheels as standard. The base engine is lethargic on acceleration with 0-60 mph in 9.2 seconds, while the quarter-mile acceleration takes 17.8 seconds. Thus the Range Rover is the slowest in acceleration in the competition.

Interior
7.8/10

The interior design of the 2015 Land Rover Range Rover is rugged in looks but provides great comfort with the use of soft materials all over the cabin. It provides a considerable amount of spacing for all the passengers inside at the front as well as the rear seats.

It falls short on the headroom at the front when compared to its competitors, but that doesn't seem to be a huge problem. It can only carry up to 5 passengers and provides 32.1 cu.ft of cargo capacity behind the rear seats.

Exterior
9.0/10

The Range Rover has just received an exterior update the previous year, and hence sees no changes in the exterior design. It still has a boxy shape which at a certain level affects the efficiency of the vehicle.

But that boxy shape is a signature Land Rover design but with a modern touch. The front honeycomb grille along with sleek LED headlights and bigger wheels complete the entire look of the vehicle. The Range Rover has a curb weight of 4,918 pounds which is quite heavy. It has a length of 197 inches along with a wheelbase of 115 inches. It also sits quite high with a ground clearance of 9 inches.

Final Verdict

The 2015 Land Rover Range Rover is one mighty SUV with powerful engine options and great overall performance. The SUV is slow on acceleration but does make our life easy on all different types of terrain due to higher torque. The interior is luxurious in terms of comfort and has considerable spacing for all the passengers. But if you need to get this iconic SUV, you need to pay a premium price for the same.
