The Nissan 370Z is an iconic 2-door sports car from the land of Japan and is perhaps the most revered Japanese performance car after the GT-R. The car is based on Nissan’s FM platform and offers excellent handling and driving dynamics as well.
The Nissan 370Z coupe is offered in a total of six trims along with a standard V6 motor and a standard rear-wheel-drive layout. The coupe is also offered only in a manual transmission option. The Base trim is priced quite competitively at $29,990 and offers a generous set of features such as summer performance tires, automatic bi-xenon headlights, LED running lights, keyless ignition/entry, cruise control, automatic climate control, a leather-wrapped tilt-only steering wheel, and Bluetooth phone connectivity. The Sport trim adds bigger alloy wheels and a limited-slip differential. The Touring trim adds a long list of creature comfort features to make the car more suitable for touring purposes by adding Heated side mirrors, simulated-suede upholstery, Heated seats with four-way power driver adjustment, and a well-equipped infotainment system. The NISMO trim sees a power-bump of the standard V6 motor and a revised aerodynamic design on the outside. The NISMO Tech trim builds upon the NISMO trim and adds a Touchscreen-based navigation system, rearview camera, and auto-dimming review mirrors.

We would recommend you the Touring trim since it offers a complete package of performance and features to offer a better experience. If you’re seeking more performance The NISMO trim would suffice you.
The 2015 Nissan 370Z is powered by a single powertrain, a naturally-aspirated V6 that runs on premium unleaded gasoline. The motor is tuned to crank out a maximum of 332 horsepower and 270lb-ft of torque. The power figures are quite strong and offer superb performance for the price of the coupe.
The only downside is the refinement levels of the motor which can be quite irritating at higher speeds. The motor is mated to an excellent 6-speed manual gearbox featuring the SynchroRev Match system that can be turned on or off by the driver. This system provides seamless and smooth gear shifts by automatically blipping the throttle while downshifting. The coupe can sprint to 60mph from a standstill within 5.2 seconds flat.

The Ford Mustang might come with a much smaller inline-4 motor but Ford’s new EcoBoost technology actually puts it at par with the bigger V6s out there in the market and has the best torque output among the three on the list. The Camaro has a decent power output and a slightly better torque output than the 370Z.
The fuel economy of the Nissan 370Z is quite decent for its performance and power figures. It returns a mileage of 18mpg in the city and 26mpg out on the highways. The combined mpg is rated at 21.

The Ford Mustang EcoBoost is big on fuel economy as it is on the performance aspect considering its powertrain size. The Chevy Camaro has a slightly better highway mileage than the 370Z but a slightly lower city mpg than the latter.
The cabin of the Nissan 370Z is laid out with high-quality materials which you wouldn’t find on most of the rivals. The dashboard design is quite nice and the gauges come with an excellent feature, they move according to the tilt adjustments of the steering wheel for optimal visibility.
The cloth seats on the lower trims might not appeal to most of the buyers but they do offer excellent support owing to the sporty shape and are quite comfortable too only to be let down a bit by the firm ride quality of the coupe. Apart from all these, the cabin of the coupe is not quite spacious and bigger adults might find it a bit tight-fit. The cargo capacity is ridiculously low at 6.9 cu-ft. The sloping rear roofline and the thick pillars hinders the rear visibility to quite an extent but can be solved by the rearview camera.

The Ford Mustang has an overall roomier than the 370Z but the interior quality and the fit & finish levels doesn’t match that of the 370Z’s. The Chevrolet Camaro has a decent cabin like the Mustang but lacks in terms of the quality of materials inside the cabin.
Interior features:
The infotainment system of the 370Z ensures that you’re not bored while stuck in the traffic and driving around the city at a sedate speed.
The infotainment system comes with a 7-inch touchscreen display and several standard features including navigation and voice command, a rearview camera, Bluetooth audio connectivity, USB/iPod integration, satellite radio, and an 8-speaker Bose audio system.
Infotainment system features of the coupe are:
The exterior styling of the Nissan 370Z remains mostly unchanged over the last year’s model but the NISMO models do get a heavily revised exterior design.
Coming back to the regular coupe, the 370Z stands out from the crowd with its attractive headlights and tail lights design while the front end looks mildly aggressive with smoother corners and a rectangular air dam. The sloping roofline gives the coupe a perfect sports car appeal that actually helps attract quite a bit of attention out on the streets.

The Mustang comes with its traditional muscular yet sleek design with a modern touch to it. It is quite bulkier and longer than the 370Z and has a better street presence. The Chevy Camaro comes with a unique front end design and an overall curvy design language especially on its side profile.
The 370Z has not been crash-tested by any of the safety rating organizations hence its safety scores are not available. The coupe comes with some basic safety aids to keep the occupants safe and the features include anti-lock brakes, traction and stability control, upward-extending side airbags, and a rearview camera.
Highlighted safety features of the coupe are:
At a competitive price point, the Nissan 370Z comes with a solid performance and is all set to appeal to the enthusiastic crowd out there. It has a better-than-average interior with decent levels of comfort, a decently-equipped cabin, and a sporty exterior design to stand out from the crowd.
