Overall Rating
The 2015 Nissan GT-R is more commonly known as Godzilla for its sheer performance. This comes from its 3.8 liters twin-turbocharged V6 making a whopping 545hp.
The 2015 Nissan GT-R is more commonly known as Godzilla for its sheer performance. This comes from its 3.8 liters twin-turbocharged V6 making a whopping 545hp. The power goes to all the wheels and is the only drivetrain available.
The interior of the new Nissan GT-R is spacious but only for the front seats, like every 2+2 coupe the rear seats are cramped. However, it does have available leather upholstery and an infotainment system that is very good. Nissan fixed the GTR with a starting price of $103,365, bringing it into direct competition with the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S and the Jaguar F-Type R.
We recommend buying the Premium trim as the engine is the same as the other trims and so is the engine and performance. Plus the Premium trim has many features that a high-performance coupe should have. Additionally, there are optional packages - premium interior package with added upgraded leather upholstery and the Cold Weather package which has all-season run-flat tires and a coolant mixture for faster engine warm-up.

The Nissan GT-R comes with a twin-turbocharged 3.8 liter V6 which makes 545hp and 463 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired to a 6-speed automatic transmission that manages and directs all the power to the GT-R’s all-wheel-drive system. The transmission can be manually controlled with the help of paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.
In the performance tests, the GT-R premium does the 0-60 sprint in 2.9 seconds, the standing quarter-mile in 11.1 seconds, and will achieve a top speed of 196 mph. The GT-R Black edition and track edition do the 0-60 sprint in 2.8 seconds but have the same quarter-mile time and top speed.

The most combined range is offered by the Porsche 911 Carrera 4S of 378 miles. Then comes the Nissan GT-R with 370 miles followed by the Jaguar F-Type R with 333 miles. The difference is due to the EPA estimated mpg ratings for the cars and the varied fuel capacity.
The interior of the Nissan GT-R can seat 4 occupants in the cabin in a 2+2 format. The rear seats might feel a bit cramped for an adult but will easily seat children or teenagers. Front seats are an 8-way power-adjustable driver’s seat and a 4-way power-adjustable front passenger’s seat. The Black edition trim gets Recaro sports seats and the Track edition gets bolstered sports seats.
The Interior upholstery for the Premium includes a combination of leather and simulated suede or Alcantara. This can be upgraded to full leather seats thanks to the premium interior package. The Black Edition gets a unique black and red interior trim with the track edition gets leather with high grip inserts. Carbon fiber is found as the interior trim on the Track Edition. In terms of the front legroom, the Nissan GT-R has more space than the Jaguar, and we reckon it has more legroom than the Porsche too. In terms of rear legroom, the 911 Porsche Carrera S looks like it has a similar space but, we would like to think the GT-R offers more. The most trunk space is offered by the Jaguar, followed by the GT-R and then the Porsche.
The Nissan GT-R comes with a 7-inch infotainment system integrated into the dashboard. The system is easy to use and has all the basics which include a CD player, satellite radio, USB port, navigation, Bluetooth connectivity.
To make you deaf there is an 11-speaker Bose sound system. However, there is no smartphone app connectivity, however, you will be able to connect your iPod. This system with the same features is available on all the trims.
The Nissan GT-R is classified as a coupe. Usually, a source has a curved sloping roof and curved lines all around the car, however, the GT-R has a sloping roof but with much sharper lines all around the car. Even the waistline which is on an incline is sharp and straight, which makes the coupe unique and attractive.
The exterior features of the GT-R include 20-inch alloy wheels with summer tires (can be ranged to all-season tires), a rear spoiler, and LED lights. The Black edition has lightweight black alloy wheels and a carbon fiber spoiler to reduce weight. However, the track edition has much more equipment including the exterior of the black edition and adding a front spoiler, bigger brake cooling ducts, and carbon fiber trunk lid.

The NHTSA has not yet crash-tested the new Nissan GT-R. The IIHS, like the NHTSA, has not yet crash-tested the 2015 Nissan GT-R as well. However, Nissan has fitted the coupe with many safety features. Some of these safety features are:
The Nissan GT-R is called Godzilla for a reason, its sheer performance when compared to the other cars. Even though the Porsche and Jaguar are similarly priced, they do not offer similar performance in the tests making the Nissan a better car. Furthermore, the Nissan also has more space than the other two cars in the interior and good technology as well. With special editions to suit your tastes, the sports coupe has something for everyone.
