The BMW 340i xDrive produces 320 hp and 330 lb-ft and takes 5.1 seconds to reach 60mph and 13.6 seconds to cross the quarter-mile.

The 2016 Audi S4 Sedan delivers a fuel-efficiency of 18 mpg in the city, 28 on the highway, and 21 mpg of combined fuel economy. The S4 Sedan gets a 16.1-gallon fuel capacity, outputting a range of 290 miles in the city, 451 on the highway, and a combined range of 338 miles. The efficiency figures are a bit lower than other performance-oriented vehicles in the segment.

The BMW delivers the best combined fuel efficiency of 26 mpg, followed by the Mercedes delivering a combined efficiency of 24 mpg. The Mercedes has the biggest fuel capacity of 18 gallons, followed by the Audi with a 16.1-gallon tank and the BMW with 15.8 gallons of fuel capacity. The Benz also delivers the best-combined range of 432 miles, followed by the BMW and the Audi providing 410 and 338 miles of range, respectively.

The S4 Sedan provides good space and comfort in the both front and rear row. The S4 has a more luxurious cabin compared to the normal A4, with sports seats as standard as well as a flat-bottom steering wheel. The materials and elements used on the inside of the cabin are of top-notch quality and feel premium and upscale.

The interior features high-quality materials like Alcantara and brushed aluminum trims crafted into an upgraded A4 cabin. Seats are extremely comfortable both for the driver and passengers and long trips would be a breeze in the S4. 

The interior space is very similar in all three cars as they provide head, shoulder, and leg rooms in both rows in a very similar quantity. All of the cars feature a very premium interior of great quality. When it comes to cargo capacity, the BMW 340i xDrive has the most of 13.0 cu-ft, followed by the Mercedes with 12.6 and the Audi with 12 cu-ft of cargo area, respectively. How intuitive is the 2016 Audi S4 Sedan’s infotainment unit?

The 2016 Audi S4 features a 7-inch infotainment unit. It is equipped with Bluetooth, Aux, and USB Connectivity along with SiriusXM satellite radio with a 4-year subscription. The touchscreen interface is not very intuitive and can be confusing sometimes.

The Audi is the heaviest weighing 3,869 lbs, followed by the Merc that weighs 3,727 lbs, while the BMW is the lightest weighing 3,720 lbs.
