The decent power output from this V6 engine is enough to accelerate this large minivan from 0-60 mph in just 7.7 seconds from standstill, whereas the quarter-mile is completed in 15.8 seconds. Though not many would use a family minivan for towing stuff, the 3,500 lbs towing capacity is always a handy add-on.

In spite of having lower engine output than the competition, the Odyssey does well to compete with them in terms of acceleration and towing prowess. The Kia Sedona is the most affordable minivan here and yet offers the highest power and torque figures. The Toyota Sienna has marginally more power than the Honda Odyssey and is also only marginally cheaper. All three vans offer similar levels of performance with very little to differentiate between them.

The Odyssey lives up to Honda's reputation of building fuel-efficient cars. The 2016 Honda Odyssey is rated by the EPA with a fuel economy of 19 mpg around the town and 28 mpg out on the highway, while the combined fuel economy is rated at 21 mpg. The large 21-gallon gas tank also assists in the driving range as it can be driven for over 450 miles of combined city and highway driving before having to hit the gas station.

The Kia Sedona is the least efficient of the lot, and despite featuring the largest fuel tank amongst the cars present here, the driving range isn’t on par with the Honda Odyssey. The Toyota Sienna is marginally more efficient than the Sedona with a combined fuel economy of 21 mpg, and thanks to the smaller fuel tank, has a driving range similar to that of the Kia.

Since the interior of the 2016 Honda Odyssey is a purpose-built people mover, it offers a range of seating arrangements to cater to all the different needs one might have. The multi-function middle row seats offer such versatility that is hardly seen on any other car even on higher segments. It can be removed, folded, and moved forward to suit the need of the hour.

There is no competition to the Honda Odyssey’s interior space, even in the third row. It offers class-leading legroom for all occupants, while there is also plenty of space for their luggage. How is the 2016 Honda Odyssey Minivan’s infotainment system?
