The Fusion is not really the quickest car in the segment. It is the Toyota Camry that leads the pack with the best 0-60 MPH and quarter-mile timings. The Camry and the Nissan Altima stand tall in the top two positions with the Ford Fusion being marginally behind them. The only car that is slower than the Fusion is the Subaru Legacy.

2017 Ford Fusion Ride and Handling

There are no complaints as far as Ford Fusion’s handling is concerned. Though the steering lacks feedback, it still gives the driver enough confidence while cornering. There is a noticeable amount of torque steer but you can still live with it.

The ride quality on the Ford Fusion is plush and hassle-free. The suspensions are smartly tuned and the car is able to devour on potholes and bumps with minimal effort and cabin feel. The suspension allows for high-speed cornering and gives the driver leverage at higher speeds.

2017 Ford Fusion Braking

The Ford Fusion has the largest set of brakes in the segment. At 11.8 in diameter discs and 11.9 in diameter discs for the front and rear brakes respectively, the car provides a halting distance of 122ft. It loses to its competitors despite the largest brakes because of its curb weight which stands highest at 3472 lbs.

The Ford Fusion is an all-American sedan. It is distinctive in its design and has a lot to offer both in terms of features and experience. With its segment-leading ground clearance, cargo capacity, and passing volume, there is a lot of space that is on offer.
