In its competition, the most powerful sedan belongs to the Nissan Maxima, which also costs less than the elegant ES 350, while the least powerful powertrain is fitted in the luxurious Lincoln MKZ. The Lexus fits right in the middle of the varied power class of the rivals.

How quick is the 0-60 mph acceleration of the 2018 Lexus ES 350?

The 3.5L displacing the Lexus V6 powers the sedan from naught to 60 mph in 5.8s and it takes 14.3s in the quarter-mile race. Despite being underpowered by a few ponies, the Lexus gets going with a similar performance as Nissan Maxima.

The Lexus ES 350 has a top speed of 130-mph, which is equal to the Lincoln MKZ.

The 2018 Lincoln MKZ is the slowest in the competition with a 0-60 mph acceleration in 7.0-seconds. This is 1.2-seconds slower than the Lexus and the Nissan. Lincoln manages to reduce the difference in the quarter-mile race to 0.9-seconds. The Nissan Maxima has the highest top speed of 145 mph, while both the Lexus ES 350 and the Lincoln MKZ have a top speed of 130 mph.

How is the Handling and Braking performance of the 2018 Lexus ES 350?

A comfortable driving dynamics with plush comfort and responsive steering feedback, the luxurious and silent Lexus ES 350 combines these attributes effortlessly. Glide it over bumps and potholes, the sedan pleasantly surprises with such agility and nimble suspension. It’s handling of corners, however, feels poor and lackluster. However, and if you want to escape the feeling of the mundane, rich serene ride, the ES 350 athleticism commences once you tune into Sport mode, where the drivetrain is stiffened with a sturdy wheel accompanied by a sportier ride.

Despite a mediocre brake feel, the performance seen here is decent yet falls relatively short of the rivals in which the best performer is the Lincoln MKZ.
