Ride and Handling

You can't expect a minivan to handle poise and grace like a Porsche, however, the Ford Transit Connect does a pretty good job eating up bumps and undulations like breakfast. On the downside, the soft suspension lacks the rigidity needed to tackle tight corners at high speeds as well as swift acceleration or braking, leading to body roll.

Despite the compliant suspension, it fails to isolate the cabin from stray jerks and vibrations. The Mercedes Metris is larger than a common minivan but not up to full size van standards.
