"The Civic's four-cylinder engines are peppy." - Car And Driver
The 2019 Honda Civic carries forward the base 158 hp 2.0L and the 174 hp 1.5L Turbo I-4 engines from the previous year. Available with only FWD, the 2019 Civic comes with a standard CVT. However, one can switch to a 6-speed manual transmission too in the Sport and LX models specifically.
The Honda Civic further enhances its driving pursuit through its Driver Selectable Mode that integrates ECON, Sport, and Normal dynamics for all except the LX edition. Depending on the mode, the steering sensitivity and throttle response change and adjust automatically.
Bashing a 0-60 MPH in 8.2 seconds and quarter-mile in 16.3 seconds with a top speed of 119 MPH, the Civic stands in the high steam of the segment. At the same time, it is brought to halt from 70 MPH within a travel of 184 ft by the ABS and Brake Assist that assist the 11.1-inch front and 10.2-inch rear disc brakes.
