Used 2019 Lamborghini Huracan Base for sale 

The 2019 Lamborghini Huracan is available in three models and two body types coupe and convertible a.k.a Spyder form. The LP 580-2 in Lamborghini’s own lingo is the base model, next comes LP 610-4 followed by the topmost Perfromante LP 640-4. All the Huracan Coupe gets a 5.2-liter V10 mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic gearbox. The difference is in the power produced in each model. The base LP 580-2 is an RWD model that puts out 571 hp, the LP 610-4 comes next and gets AWD and puts out 602 hp, and the topmost Perfromante LP 640-4 is again AWD and puts out 630 hp. Standard features include 19-inch wheels, leather upholstery, steel disc brakes, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, 12.3-inch TFT virtual cockpit, a rearview camera, heated mirrors, start/stop function, keyless remote entry, etc. Apart from the standard list you also get lots of optional add-ons. A few of them include heated seats, carbon-ceramic brakes, 20-inch wheels, LED lighting for the engine bay, cruise control, dynamic steering, etc.

We Recommend:

We recommend going for the LP 610-4 as it gets the better brakes and is more powerful than the base LP 580-2. Add to that the LP 610-4 is AWD while the LP 580-2 is RWD, which means the former will be more planted and better to drive than the latter. Other than this we also suggest adding the optional dynamic steering and cruise control to make it better equipped and usable.

The 2019 Huracan is powered by a monstrous 5.2L naturally aspirated V10 engine that comes in two different states of tunes. This engine in the base LP 580-2 makes about 573 horses and 398 lb-ft of torque and in the LP 610-4 the engine is tuned to make a whopping 601 hp and 413 lb-ft of torque. The engine comes mated to a 7-speed dual-clutch gearbox and power in the LP 580-2 trim is sent to the rear wheels while the LP 610-4 trim gets AWD configuration as standard. The engine has an absolutely loud grunt as a Lamborghini should. While most supercars these days come equipped with turbo-charged engines, the Huracan is one of the very few cars in the market to get a naturally aspirated engine. But don’t take it for granted as this naturally aspirated V10 has enough oomph to put the modern twin-turbos to shame. Step on the throttle and the car just rockets away in a blip.

The Huracan LP 580-2 does a 0-60 mph in about 3.2 seconds and covers the quarter-mile distance in just 11.2 seconds. If that wasn’t fast enough for you, then you can always opt for the Huracan LP 610-4 and that car does a 0-60 mph in just 2.9 seconds and hits the quarter-mile mark in 10.9 seconds which is absolutely crazy. The 911 Turbo S does a 0-60 mph in just 2.7 seconds and hits the quarter-mile in 10.7 seconds which is quicker than the Huracan LP 610-4. The McLaren 570 GT is capable of doing 0-60 mph in 2.9 seconds and it does a quarter-mile run in about 10.8 seconds. The Nissan GT-R NISMO on the other hand is priced almost $30,000 less than the Huracan but it makes more power and torque thus delivers better 0-60 mph timing and a similar quarter-mile time.

Lamborghini has optimized the aerodynamics of the car such that it feels extremely planted on the ground at high speed and that quality of sticking firmly to the ground just inspires lots of confidence while driving. The car always wants you to push the limits and be as fast as it can. The kind of confidence it offers you while driving at high speeds and even while throwing it around the corners is simply brilliant and that is the best part about it. The steering is very precise and reacts to your inputs really well. Also, it has a very solid heft to it and you feel very much connected to the car.The suspension setup aids handling and the overall balance is just perfect. The suspension is on the stiffer side like it should be and the ride quality is not the plushest. However, you never feel any kind of hesitancy from the car while driving it. Throw it around the corner and it just dives in a blip.

The whole driving package of the Huracan is absolutely amazing and no other car in the segment is capable of offering you the thrills quite like this one. Coming to the rivals, the McLaren 570 GT is the least powerful and yet is quicker than the Huracan in a straight line. One thing that disappoints us is that cars priced lesser than Huracan offer better power and performance. For instance, the Porsche 911 Turbo S gets a 3.8L twin-turbo flat-6 that manages 580 horses and 516 lb-ft of torque. The Nissan GT-R Nismo is the cheapest among all but offers the best performance figures of 600 hp and 481 lb-ft of torque from its 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6.

When you’re planning to buy a supercar, fuel economy shouldn’t really bother you. Nonetheless, we have the figures covered for you. Naturally aspirated V10 engines are gas guzzlers and the Huracan is the least fuel-efficient car among the competition. The 2019 Huracan returns a mileage of 13 mpg in city while on the highway it returns 18 mpg with 15 mpg of combined gas mileage.

The Porsche 911 Turbo S has the best fuel economy numbers in the competition. It gets an EPA rating of 21 mpg combined followed by the McLaren 570 GT and Nissan GT-R Nismo that delivers 18 mpg combined respectively. The Nissan GT-R also gets the biggest 19.5-gallon of fuel tank capacity.

Jump on to the inside and you’ll notice a very unique hexagon design language being dominant. Lamborghini has inculcated hexagonal shapes in the interior and there are a lot of bits in the car that are hexagonal in shape. The steering wheel, the air-con vents, the buttons in the center console, the gauge cluster screen housing are all in hexagonal shape and it looks pretty unique. There is extensive use of carbon fiber, aluminum, and other lightweight but high-quality materials in the cabin that give it a very sporty yet upscale feel.Get on to the seats and you’ll find that you sit very low to the ground. The seats are not all that comfortable and supportive because they have very little padding and cushioning on them. The bucket seats are very thin and have very aggressive bolsters that are only good to hold you tight in place.

The amount of head, shoulder, and legroom is minimal and it is not the most comfortable car to be in. Creature comfort isn’t something you should look for or expect inside a Lamborghini. This is an Italian supercar and you cannot really expect it to be practical. It gets a small storage area at the front which can hold something like the size of a laptop bag. On the inside, the only storage space you have is the tiny glove box and a small storage cubby behind the seats. The Huracan doesn’t even get cupholders and you have to pay extra to get them installed.

On the whole, the Huracan has a very sporty and gimmicky interior just like you would expect from an expensive supercar. Functionality, practicality, utility, and creature comfort do not matter in cars like this. That said, we don’t have the interior space figures here to make a clear-cut comparison but going by our experience in our test cars, all the cars in the comparison are more or less the same in terms of space and those which offer two more seating spaces are just for the namesake and are best taken as two-seater.

The Huracan doesn’t get a dedicated infotainment system or display. Instead, it is all integrated into the digital gauge cluster that sits right in front of the driver. The screen houses all the infotainment settings as well as vehicle settings. The Huracan comes with a 4-speaker audio system which is pretty basic and also gets other features like AM/FM radio, CD player, Apple Carplay, and Bluetooth smartphone integration. Why would anybody want to listen to music when you already have such a lovely exhaust note!

Lamborghinis have always been about the looks and this one is no different. The Huracan just looks wicked. It has that typical low-slung front and then there are those hexagonal air ducts that just add flavor to the aggressive face of the car.

The car has lots of cuts, creases, and lines flowing across its body and that just helps the car look sexy.At the back, there are those round dual exhaust tips that sit on either side of the license plate; they just look really cool. The car gets inverted Y-shaped LED taillights that look very sporty. There’s also a very large glass panel at the back through which you can gaze at the V10 engine. The standard wheels are 19-inches while the 20-inches are optional on the base Huracan.

On the whole, the car looks very striking and it will turn a lot of heads and grab a lot of eyeballs as you drive down the road. That said, dimensions of the 2019 Huracan coupe happens to be the smallest among all specifically in terms of length and wheelbase. Nissan GT-R with 184.6-inches of length and 109.4-inches of wheelbase is dimensionally the biggest coupe. The Porsche 911 Turbo S and the McLaren 570 GT slots in between them in terms of their size. With the Porsche 911 Turbo S having the shortest 96.5-inches of wheelbase.

The safety ratings of the Lamborghini Huracan are yet to be done by the NHTSA and IIHS and so we do not have much to comment about here. Now, this car costs over $200,000, and Lamborghini wouldn’t really compromise on the safety of its passengers. Also, it gets quite a several safety and driver assistance features and we’ve listed down a few important ones for a better idea:

2019 Lamborghini Huracan vs 2019 McLaren 570 GT

The McLaren 570 GT is the Huracan’s closest rival in terms of everything- power, performance, and price tag. The 570 GT is priced at about $205,450 and makes 562 horses. McLaren 570 GT’s 0-60 mph and quarter-mile figures are similar to the Huracan but 570 GT offers better fuel economy. 

The McLaren also looks crazy and has pretty much everything on offer that you would want from a supercar. Now, ultimately it all comes down to looks and what you want the most. Judging a clear winner here is a bit difficult and we would say that both the cars are pretty much on par with each other. However, we would give the Huracan an edge for its looks and the crazy naturally aspirated V10.

2019 Lamborghini Huracan vs 2019 Porsche 911 Turbo S

The Porsche 911 Turbo S is yet another legendary supercar. Hailed as one of the best handling cars, the 911 Turbo S is an outright performance machine and is a joy to drive. The 911 Turbo S is cheaper than the Huracan, delivers similar power numbers, and in fact is quicker than it on the straight line. 

It might not look as striking as the Huracan but then the Huracan cannot really match the driving dynamics of the 911. In our opinion, the 911 Turbo S is a better value for money proposition here in this competition. If we ever had to choose between the two, we would certainly go for the Porsche.

2019 Lamborghini Huracan vs 2019 Nissan GT-R NISMO

If you want a mad driving machine and if you don't really care about snobbery, luxury, and road-presence, then the Nissan GT-R NISMO is the one you should go for. Fitted with 3.8L, twin-turbo V6, the GT-R NISMO churns out 600 horses and 481 lb-ft of torque.

And while it may not be any quicker than the Huracan, the GT-R NISMO is priced significantly lower than it. Now, the Huracan might grab more eyeballs than the GT-R NISMO but then it is just the more sensible and practical car here. The Nissan gets 4 seats and also has pretty usable trunk space. So, our money in this comparison is on the Nissan.

The 2019 Lamborghini Huracan is a scarily fast car. It has built keeping just performance in focus and that’s what all it is. It is a no-frills car and is all about offering the driver a thrilling driving experience. It has got super-precise steering and has very aggressive driving dynamics. The engine and the gearbox are super responsive and the car is a bliss in the way it handles and drives. Now, there are cars in the market that make much more sense financially than the Huracan but Lamborghini has never really been about sensibility. If you have the money, and if you crave for the Huracan, just head out towards your nearest Lambo dealership and you’ll never regret buying the Huracan.
