We Recommend

There's not many offerings in terms of trim levels. It depends on your needs whether you need a two-row version or 3-row version model. IF you opt for the two-row trim, you'll get a larger cargo area for sure. If you are choosing the three-row LX 570, we would suggest avoiding the rear-seat entertainment system as the screen prevents the seconds-row seats from sliding.

Engine and Performance
6.7/10

The LX 570 SUV is powered by a 5.7-liter V8 engine that churns out 383 horsepower and 403 lb-ft. of torque. The engine is pretty refined and fun to drive. It feels like driving the Toyota Land Cruiser at times.

Since the Land Cruiser hosts the same V8 engine, tuned to deliver marginally less power at 381 hp. The Infiniti QX80 delivers the maximum power of 400 hp while the Lincoln Navigator delivers 450 hp with the help of 3.0L V6 engine.

Acceleration

The SUV takes 7.3 seconds to sprint zero to 60 mph. This makes it one the slowest SUVs among the peers in terms of acceleration.

The rivals score acceleration time less than 7 seconds. With such a heavy exterior build and engine, it is obvious that the SUV might take some time to get to higher speeds.

Braking and Handling

The LX 570 remains underwhelming in terms of braking and handling. The SUV takes 123 feet to come down to halt from a speed of 60 mph. The GLS 450 does the same at 120 feet. The heavy steering impacts the handling severely.

Although, the case is not always as the SUV is loaded with a lot of features that enhance the ride quality. The crawl control with turn assist triggers the off-roading capability across uneven terrain and limits the turning radius by applying maximum brake force around rear wheels.

Fuel Economy
6.4/10

The fuel economy returned by the Lexus LX 570 is really disappointing. No worries, what can one expect from an SUV of big size. It returns 13 mpg in the city and 18 mpg on the highway. Mercedes-Benz GLS 450 and Land Rover Range Rover offer a bit better fuel economy. One has to compromise fuel economy over power output. The unmatched power delivery from the Lexus is the sole reason for such fuel economy.

"The Remote Touch interface makes it hard to make certain audio, navigation and climate adjustments. But there's a ton of room, and the large door openings, handholds, and wide running boards help people climb in and out."

Interior
7.0/10

The Lexus SUV is ultimately cozy and comfortable in both front and rear seating. Both the row are accompanied with ample bolstering. The quality of leather stitching is premium and the wooden material adds more luxury to the interior.

The second row is fitted with electronically adjustable seats that help in making extra room for the third-row passengers. However, the third-row is too short for adult passengers.

In comparison to the competitors, the Lincoln Navigator offers better interior seating and space but the Navigator holds accommodation for seven passengers while the Lexus offers accommodation for 8 passengers.

"The 2019 LX 570 looks much the same as last year, with LED headlights and a huge spindle grille that immediately identifies this large SUV as a Lexus. The rest of the LX 570 is a classic Land Cruiser; in other words, it's a tall and imposing box."

Exterior

Final Verdict

Since there are lesser options available with the Lexus LX 570, you are bound to take the deal whatever provided. It is an expensive car in the segment and you would require to buy some extra options. The best alternative to the LX 570 would be the Toyota Land Cruiser. The Land Cruiser costs almost $6K less than the LX 570.

Lexus has successfully tried to deliver quality with the introduction of Lexus LX 570. It appears to be a good contender in the luxury SUV segment, offering enough luxury to take on the GLS while maintaining reliability levels akin to the legendary Toyota Land Cruiser. Lexus LX 570 has been evolving rapidly with passing years and there's more to come.
