Based on the Ghost sedan, the 2020 Wraith coupe uses an up-tuned V12, making it a performance inclined grand tourer with no bit of luxury compromise. Truly exemplifying the Grand Tourer experience with enjoyment, excitement, and comfort,
The Rolls-Royce Wraith invites you to take control of the wheels in your hands rather than sitting at the rear. Under the hood, the 2020 Rolls-Royce Wraith house a mighty engine mated with an 8-speed automatic transmission driving the rear wheels.

Also, this not some track-focused motor car but can turn up the heat anytime you demand. This not just some traditional conservative luxury but a modern technology at your command. The 8-speed transmission is a satellite-aided system, never overbearing or superfluous.
Wraith is a coupe version of the Ghost, a “small” Rolls-Royce based on the BMW 7-series platform. With a shorter wheelbase and lowered height, prodigious power at hand, this 5400 pounds Wraith goes from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds while hits the quarter-mile in about 12.5 seconds. Definitely, it is the fastest Rolls-Royce ever. The Wraith is a sportier Rolls-Royce but never tries hard to be a sports car. It sticks to its Gran Turismo nomenclature in the truest sense.
Surprisingly, with no launch control, this car retains a pleasing, linear response to the throttle. The touchier gas pedal responds instantly with ample of grunt and a mesmerizing V-12 snarl. However, the Rolls-Royce better relates to a silent and smooth movements.

The wraith won’t win you the drag race but it will hang the true performance machines such as the M4, RS4 or the Alfa. The Bentley Continental GT is almost equally fast for that matter.
A true Grand Turismo and not a sports car, the Wraith qualifies to be the former since its performance focus is more inclined towards an effortless and plush driving experience. After being the quickest Rolls-Royce, the Wraith is also the most dynamic R-R yet. Riding on a shorter wheelbase, wraith is a nimble saloon that glides at fingertip lightness. The steering is light weighted and offers consistency and linearity. Handling is close enough to remind that its a Rolls-Royce. Yet because of its advanced chassis, well-damped springs, and 20-inch wheels, it corners without much body roll.
The air suspension setup soaks up anything and everything without any hint to those inside the cabin. Opt for Black badge model and Rolls-Royce up tunes the engine output and tweaks the suspension and transmission for sportier performance.
The Rolls-Royce Wraith brakes stand up to the abuse pretty comfortably. The braking is equally impressive with the 5,400 pounds Rolls-Royce Wraith stopping in just 109 feet from 60 mph. During the emergency stops, nose dive was evident but isn’t worrying.

The 2020 Rolls-Royce Wraith comes equipped with big four-wheel anti-lock discs. The fade won’t be an issue on the road and the brakes compliment the thirst for adventure.
Even the faintest thought of EPA ratings or fuel economy must be dealt with rethinking or probably rethinking. Its something like a selenophile worrying about the mileage of a rocket. However, simplifying for you, the V-12 powered Wraith’s fuel economy ratings are competitive with the market rivals. The heft and massive proportions of Wraith return a better average than its closest competitors.

The satellite-aided transmission reads the road ahead and keeps the transmission in tune with the upcoming road conditions which avoids unnecessary upshift or downshift. This system indirectly supplements the fuel economy of Wraith.
All the Ghost luxury abounds the Wraith for a posh and comfortable ride. The Wraith’s rear-hinged doors are a great conversation starter. The suicide doors make it easier to get in and out of the car but when the doors are open it is difficult to reach the door pulls from inside. This problem is not a concern since the doors are electrically controlled at the touch of a button.
The quality inside is exceptional, its a Rolls-Roy e after all. Swathes of the finest leather, real wood, and genuine metal accents cover nearly every visible surface along with knobs and door handles. The sloping roofline and two-door body do not confront the ample space available at the rear for two adults to sit comfortably. The center console extends from the front of the car to the rear between the two rear bucket seats. However, the Rolls-Royce Wraith flaunts a high window line which is a big issue as it blocks visibility.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith not only shares the platform with the BMW but also depends on it for entertainment needs. This is not at all bad since the BMW infotainment system is easy to use and is quite intuitive. Navigation and real-time traffic updates are standard, as is an 18-speaker audio system and a head-up display.
At no point, you feel like being in a 3-series or so, thanks to the bespoke looks and feel given to the buttons and controls.

The Wraith is a wide car, thus accomplishes a better cargo space than the direct rivals, even the Bentley Continental GT. however, the sedan counterpart of Wraith offers more cargo space.
Every car from Goodwood’s stable is crowned by the iconic Spirit of Ecstasy, illuminated in the Wraith. The arrival of the Rolls-Royce Wraith is marked by the commanding Pantheon grille riding atop 20” or 21” wheels with self-righting wheel centers. The 2020 Wraith shares a similar Ghost platform but has a shorter wheelbase and a wider rear track. The overall height is 1.7 inches lower.
The Rolls-Royce bespoke department will tailor the Wraith in virtually any way you desire, be it a personalized message or insignia engraved onto treadplates to the exterior colors. The Wraith Black Badge flaunts sportier design cues to complement the upgraded performance. The exterior upgrades include a gloss-black Spirit of Ecstasy, carbon-fiber and alloy wheels, LED headlights, darkened air vents, a different clock, and embroidery in the shape of an infinity sign.

A car that costs this much tends to bring in confidence with some exceptional safety and driver-assistance technology. This is not the case in the Wraith, which comes equipped with basic standard safety equipment. No matter what this luxury saloon is more than safe courtesy of features like the 360-degree view around the car for assistance with maneuvers, an infrared eye in the front grille to detect hazards at night for up to 300 meters away. This assisted ‘night vision’ extends far beyond the headlights’ beam and provides you with invaluable time to react to potential dangers.
The Bently GT seems to violate the laws of thermodynamics as it gets to 60 mph in 4.0 seconds, even when it posses less hp than the Rolls-Royce Wraith. The GT Continental is an all-wheel-drive with a top speed of 205 hp, which can surpass the Wraith which is limited to 155 mph. It’s not that the Bentley GT offers a poorly crafted interior or lesser luxury but is far from what Rolls-Royce offers. The Wraith, fittingly, sets the standard for class and luxury. Also, the infotainment system of Wraith is more indulging and better. No matter how costly the Rolls Royce Wraith maybe but its presence and style are unconditional.
The AMG S65 coupe is powered by 6.0-l turbo V12, equally powerful and extravagantly exciting. The Mercedes S-class in more powerful than the Wraith and still manages to be precise around the corners. Wraith is not a sports saloon but a grand tourer, while the Mercedes counterpart is a sportier affair. Also, the S-class is spacious from inside and offers way more safety tech at hand. The performance, reliability, and safety make the S-class the value choice. However, if luxury and presence are the preferences, there is no looking around other than the Rolls-Royce.
To ask if the Rolls-Royce Wraith is a good car or not won’t find any ground. The Wraith is an exhibition of luxury, immaculate craftsmanship, spirited performance. Being in one is like a heavenly adobe, with stars glittering in the night sky. In terms of value, emotions can’t be quantified. However, Rolls-Royce Wraith in comparison with its direct rivals may not be the most spirited performer but is the most luxurious saloon.
