The 2021 Cadillac XT6 is available for sale at a base selling price of $48,990, which is nearly $5,000 less than the 2020 Cadillac XT6, thanks to a new Luxury trim level that comes with a standard 2L turbocharged inline-4 engine. The 2021 Cadillac XT6 will also continue to offer the other two trims, namely Premium Luxury and Sport, both of which come at an MSRP of $53,790 and $58,190. Both the Premium Luxury and Sport trims of the 2021 XT6 get the 3.6L naturally aspirated V6 motor. The 2021 Cadillac XT6 comes with many exterior features like 20" 6-split spoke alloy wheels, hands-free liftgate, active aero shutters, etc.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 also comes with the 8" touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and the audio is handled by the Bose 8-speaker audio system. Other interior features like leather upholstery, heated and powered seats, navigation support, heated steering wheel, and tri-zone automatic climate control are on offer too. The safety and driver-assistance features are taken care of by the standard automated emergency braking with pedestrian detection, lane-departure warning with lane-keeping assist, etc. Other driver-assistance features are offered with the optional packages.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 is available in three trim configurations and is offered for sale at a base MSRP of $48,990. Of the three trim configurations on sale, we feel that the 2021 Cadillac XT6 Premium Luxury, which comes at a selling price of $53,790 for the FWD variant and $55,790 for the AWD variant, offers the most value for money due to the inclusion of an excellent list of features like blind-spot monitoring, 20" 6-split spoke alloy wheels wrapped in P235/55R20 all-season tires, hands-free liftgate, leather upholstery, heated and powered seats, and many more as standard.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 retains the same powerful 3.6L naturally aspirated V6 engine that pushes out 310 hp and 271 lb-ft of peak torque. As standard, the new 2021 XT6 gets a 9-speed torque converter automatic transmission, which offers manual shift control and multiple transmission modes. Both FWD, as well as AWD drivetrain options, are available. However, the top-of-the-line 2021 Cadillac XT6 Sport trim, which is available for sale at a base MSRP of $58,190, comes with AWD only.

A new 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 motor headlines the most significant change for the 2021 Cadillac XT6 this year and is borrowed from the 2021 Cadillac XT4. This new 2.0L turbocharged powertrain punches out 235 hp and 258 lb-ft of torque, which results in better fuel efficiency. The 2021 Cadillac XT6 can also tow up to 4,000 lbs, which is quite decent for the mid-size SUV segment. The handling is reasonable, with minimal body roll and understeer. The steering gives a decent feel and feedback too. However, the ride quality was quite impressive, due to the air suspension on offer.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 is a mammoth-sized SUV that weighs around 4,644 lbs, yet the 2.0L turbocharged  inline-4 engine pushes the 2021 Cadillac XT6 SUV from 0-60 mph in just 7.7 seconds. However, if this feels slow, you will have to opt for the pricier Premium Luxury or Sport trim, and the same beast helps to come out with a 0-60 mph time of 6.4 seconds, which is quite impressive for a mid-size luxury SUV. Available for sale at a base selling price of $48,990, the 2021 Cadillac XT6 also did the quarter-mile in 15.4 seconds and managed to achieve a top speed of 132 MPH.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 turned out to be the least powerful offering of the segment, which is followed by the 2021 Audi Q7 with 248 hp. The 2021 Volvo XC90 gave out a similar 250 hp too. However, the 2021 Lincoln Aviator managed to beat all the rivals with its 400 hp 3L naturally aspirated V6 engine. The towing capacity of 6,700 lbs is the best of the segment too. When it comes to the 0-60 mph times, the 2021 Aviator came first with a time of 5.4 seconds, which is followed by the 2021 Audi Q7 with 6.9 seconds.

The EPA estimates the 2021 XT6 with the standard turbo-four will earn up to 21 mpg in the city and 27 mpg on the highway. - Car And Driver

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 turned out to be better in the fuel efficiency front due to the new 2.0L turbocharged inline-4 engine under the hood. With this new motor available with the base Luxury trim of the 2021 XT6, the 2021 Cadillac XT6 can deliver 21 MPG in the city and about 27 MPG out on the highway, which equates to combined gas mileage of 24 MPG.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 also offered a fuel tank capacity of 19 gallons, which helped this mid-size premium SUV to give out a city tank range of 399 miles and a highway tank range of 513 miles. A combined tank range of 456 miles is on offer too. The 2021 Cadillac XT6's 3.6L naturally aspirated V6 motor gave out a mediocre 19 MPG in the city and 26 MPG on the highway, with a combined 22 MPG of gas mileage.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 offered one of the best-combined gas mileage of 24 MPG. However, the 2021 Volvo XC90 takes the crown in the fuel efficiency front, due to the 25 MPG of combined gas mileage. The 2021 Audi Q7 and the 2021 Lincoln Aviator gave out a similar combined gas mileage of 21 MPG. When it comes to the tank range, the 2021 XC90 turned out to be the best of the lot.

The XT6 gave out the best space for the rows one and two - Thecarconnection

The 2021 Cadillac XT6's cabin can comfortably fill up a 7-passenger squad, with space well divided on all three rows. Available for sale at a base MSRP of $48,990, the 2021 Cadillac XT6 remains unchanged from the outgoing 2020 XT6 and hence retains the same 5 interior color combinations and all the features like the tri-zone automatic climate control, heated steering wheel, leather upholstery, heated and powered seats, and many more as standard. The front row of the 2021 XT6 managed to come out with an above-average headroom and shoulder room. The legroom of 41.2" is also one of the best of the segment.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6's second row is also quite impressive due to one of the best headroom and legroom on offer. When it comes to the third-row space, the 2021 Cadillac XT6 is better than most of the rivals, making it a decent place for adults. The headroom of 37.2" for the third row is the best of the lot too, making it quite accommodating for tall Americans. The 2021 Cadillac XT6 also gave out 12.6 cubic feet of cargo space. The 2021 Cadillac XT6 also offers many cabin features to make the journey more comfortable like the rear air conditioning, interior ambient lighting, Cadillac Connected Access Capability, etc.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 turned out to be one of the most spacious offerings of the segment for all three rows. However, the 2021 Lincoln Aviator is the most spacious offering of the segment in terms of first and second-row space. The 2021 Audi Q7 offered a slightly better shoulder room and legroom for the front seat passengers and the 2021 XC90 offered better legroom of 31.9" for the third-row passengers. In terms of cargo capacity, the 2021 Cadillac XT6 turned out to be the worst of the lot, offering 12.6 cu ft of cargo space. On the entertainment front, it packs an 8" touchscreen display and an 8-speaker Bose audio system.

The 2021 Cadillac XT6's 8" touchscreen infotainment system comes with many connectivity features like Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot connectivity, Bluetooth connectivity, and many more as standard. Along with that, the 2021 Cadillac XT6 also gets many more infotainment features like SiriusXM radio, navigation support, and voice recognition too. The bulging hood line and the active aero shutters also make the 2021 Cadillac XT6 a more aerodynamic proposition. Along with that, the 2021 XT6 also offers the best-in-class height of 69.9".

The 2021 Cadillac XT6 retains the 8 exterior colors of the outgoing 2020 XT6. Along with that, the side view of the 2021 Cadillac XT6 also looks macho due to the 20" 6-spoke alloy wheels, multiple character lines, and subtle fender flares. The chrome bezel around the window line also helps the 2021 XT6 to look more premium. The 2021 Cadillac XT6's rearview looks modern yet subtle due to the LED taillights, dual exhaust tips wrapped in chrome, and an integrated roof spoiler with a shark fin antenna. The alloy wheels wrapped in P235/55R20 all-season tires also make the 2021 XT6 stand out from the crowd. 

The 2021 Lincoln Aviator and the 2021 Volvo XC90 were wider and offered more ground clearance too. Even the wheelbase of both the rivals of the 2021 XT6 was also much superior. The 2021 Audi Q7 turned out to be the heaviest of the lot, with a curb weight of 5,082 lbs. Even though the 2021 Cadillac XT6 gets no major changes from the outgoing 2020 XT6, we were quite impressed with the new 2L turbocharged inline-4 motor on offer, which helped this mid-size luxury SUV to come out with impressive gas mileage, decent performance, and a much lower base MSRP of $48,990. Along with that, the interior space is also one of the best in the segment. To top it off, the 2021 XT6 offers an impressive list of safety and driver-assistance features too.
