Hyundai has carried forward its well-stacked trim levels viz. SE, SEL, and Limited trim unscathed. The new Calligraphy trim will make the already luxurious SUV even more costly and upscale with the addition of unique exterior lighting elements, bold 20” alloy wheels, along with a unique chrome finish to the grille. The base trim SE starts at $32,525 and can be also had with an AWD setup for an MSRP of $34,225.

The Calligraphy model is the only one amongst the Palisade lineup that comes with an AWD setup as standard. The SEL trim starts at an MSRP of $35,175 for the FWD setup, which can also be equipped with an AWD setup for an MSRP of $36,875. The Limited trim starts at $45,125 with the FWD and $46,825 with the AWD setup. And the new range-topping Calligraphy trim comes at an MSRP of $47.750.

Every 2021 Palisade is powered by a 291-hp 3.8-liter Naturally Aspirated V6 engine and a slick 8-Speed automatic transmission. Front-wheel drive is standard, and the HTRAC all-wheel-drive system is available for $1,700. For the 2021 model, however, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are standard on all trims along with LED headlamps and HD Radio.

Furthermore, the features of the Drive Guidance Package have been divided and added to the Premium package and above. On the inside, the new Calligraphy trim will get a faux-sued headliner, quilted leather upholstery on the doors and seats, and a perforated leather wrap on the steering wheel, amongst other features.

The Limited trim starting with an MSRP of $45,125, builds off on the SEL trim level. It includes the Convenience, Premium, and Driver Guidance packages. Like the 2020 model, the 2021 Hyundai Palisade is powered by the same 3.8-liter Naturally Aspirated V6 that produces a maximum of 291 hp and 262 lb-ft of torque. The transmission duties are taken care of by an 8-speed automatic that shifts smoothly, and the standard paddle-shifters that also add to the fun.

The 2021 Hyundai Palisade can be had in both FWD and AWD setups. But with a full load of passengers or when towing, 2021 Palisade has 5,000 lbs max tow ratings, some drivers may wish for more than the humble torque on offer.

With the same engine option as the 2020 model, the 2021 Hyundai Palisade returns the same MPG figures as the 2020 MY. The 3.8-liter V6 powering the 2021 Palisade is capable of delivering a combined mileage of 22 mpg, which is quite respectable for a car its size. Explaining further, the 2021 Palisade delivers 19 mpg at city speeds and 26 mpg out on the highway, with the FWD setup.
