The 2021 Range Rover Sport is powered by a 3.0L turbocharged inline-6 engine called the P360. It makes 355 hp and 365 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission which directs all the power to the 4WD system. This is the same setup as the 2020 model.

The 2021 Range Rover Sport does 0-60 in 6.2 seconds which is slower than the Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q8, and BMW X5. With the throttle floored it will reach a top speed of 130 mph and has a towing capacity of 7,716 pounds, which is 16 pounds more than the Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q8, and 1,113 pounds more than the BMW X5.

The 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport makes the most amount of power with 355 hp. Following this is the Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q8, and BMW X5 all three make 335 hp. However, the Audi Q8 makes the most amount of torque with 369 lb-ft.

The 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport gives EPA estimated Fuel Economy figures of 19 mpg in the city, 24 mpg on the highway, and 21 mpg combined. This is 1 mpg more than the combined mpg of the Porsche Cayenne and Audi Q8, but 2 mpg lesser than the BMW X5.

The 2021 Range Rover Sport comes with a 27.5-gallon fuel tank capacity. This is larger than the fuel tanks in the Porsche Cayenne, Audi Q8, and the BMW X5, and does offer much more driving range in the city, highway, and combined.

The infotainment system does come with optional extras like a heads-up display ($1,325), a CD/DVD player ($0), and a domestic plug socket ($150). There is an enhanced sound system featuring 8 speakers as standard. there is the option of a 13-speaker Merdian sound system ($305) and a 19-speaker Merdian Surround sound system ($1,125).

The 2021 Range Rover Sport has a modern design and comes with LED headlights with DRLs and taillights, power-folding mirrors, power-gesture tailgate, hood and fender vents, dual exhausts, and a set of 19-inch wheels complete the car. The regular set of exterior colors is on offer and includes British racing green, Carpathian grey, fuji white, and icy white. The Range Rover Sport comes with a ground clearance of 8.4-inches and can rise to 10.9-inches with the help of the air suspension when off-roading.

The 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport has not yet been tested by the NHTSA. Like the NHTSA, the IIHS has not yet crash-tested the 2021 Range Rover Sport. Both organizations have not yet tested the 2020 model year or the 2019 model year as well.

There are many safety features of the 2021 Range Rover Sport like automatic emergency braking, cruise control with speed limiter, lane-keep assist, front and rear parking aid, emergency brake assist, and many more. 2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport vs 2021 Porsche Cayenne

The Porsche Cayenne comes with lesser power but offers better performance, but marginally lesser towing capacity. The Range Rover Sport offers a better-combined mpg and driving range. On the interior, the Porsche Cayenne does not offer the option for seating 7 and even comes with lesser trunk space. With the Cayenne being cheaper by $2,000, the Range Rover Sport is the winner of this battle.

2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport vs 2021 Audi Q8

The Audi Q8 comes with lesser power than the Range Rover Sport but offers better performance, and a similar towing capacity. It does lose out in mpg and driving range to the Range Rover Sport. Inside, there is no option to seat 7 and cargo space is lesser than the Range Rover Sport. The Audi Q8 is cheaper by $1,300 but compared to what's on offer, the Range Rover Sport is the better option.

2021 Land Rover Range Rover Sport vs 2021 BMW X5 (xDrive40i)

The BMW X5 has much better performance than the Range Rover Sport but comes with lesser power and towing capacity. The X5 has better mpg numbers as well. On the inside, both offer the optional seating space for 7, but the BMW does come with more trunk space. The BMW X5 is $7,800 cheaper than the Range Rover Sport, making it a good option and the better of the two.

The interior is what you expect from the Range Rover sport and comes with many comfort and convenience features. However, if you are looking for a better performance at a more affordable rate the BMW X5 is the one to get.
