"The 4-Series is still the best sporty coupe option on the block for carrying two passengers at the back, thanks to several inches inches more legroom than the rivals." - Carbuzz
Once you step inside the 2022 4 Series Coupe you will instantly recognize it is a BMW. The interior design is more inclined towards the 3-Series and in some ways looks almost identical. The overall design comprises neat lines and the advanced modern tech fitted inside along with this the soft-touch materials and plastics all around give a refined feel of the interior.Â
The front seats are power-adjustable and come with rear-seat easy entry function as standard. The driver seat is 10-way adjustable and gets memory function, while the faux-leather upholstery is now perforated in nature. There is a three-zone climate control system offered as standard and ambient lighting is also now standard across the lineup for the 2022 model year.Â
Opting for the Convenience trim adds a keyless entry function and lumbar support for the front seats. On the other hand, the Premium trim brings in heating functionality for the front seats and steering wheel and also adds gesture controls for the climate control system. One can also opt between two aluminium and two fine wood trims for the cabin to better suit your personal tastes.
Although the coupe models aren't known for their practicality, the 2022 4-Series does well in this regard offer enough space for both the front and rear-seat passengers. Add to that the 12 cu-ft of trunk capacity, and hauling a fortnight worth of groceries would be of no concern at all. It can also carry two medium-sized luggage bags with ease for weekend trips.Â

The front row of the Lexus RC 300 is the most spacious of the lot, offering best-in-class legroom and headroom. However, its rear seat is compromised to an extent that only young kids can manage to get in.Â
The long wheelbase of the 4-series ensures sufficient space for both front and rear-seat passengers and yet opens up enough space for the cargo. Both the Audi and Mercedes coupes are marginally less roomy than the BMW.Â
The standard infotainment system of the 2022 BMW 4 Series is nothing short of perfect with a standard 8.8-inch display.
The iDrive 7 interface has smartphone integration in the form of Wireless or Wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, real-time traffic and satellite radio as standard. One can also opt for the bigger 10.25-inch touchscreen and a fully digital 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster for another $750.
The standard sound system is a 205-watt 10-speaker from BMW and for a better hearing experience, you can opt for the 600-watt premium 16-speaker Harman Kardon sound system that enhances the music hearing experience for an $875 premium.
