Compact yet fun, the 2022 Chevrolet Spark subcompact hatchback makes small cars feel big. With seating for up to five people, you will be able to pack everyone in for daily errands or long weekends away.
Compact yet fun, the 2022 Chevrolet Spark subcompact hatchback makes small cars feel big. With seating for up to five people, you will be able to pack everyone in for daily errands or long weekends away. The Spark looks nothing particularly flashy at first glance, but it does offer a good variety of features like bright headlights, an excellent audio system, and front fog lights for better visibility in low light. The interior is spacious and comfortable enough to make it very easy to ride in while the exterior incorporates an aggressive-looking body along with unique alloy wheels.
A stylish and economical car, the Chevrolet Spark has a lot of features. If you're shopping for a long-term solution, you'd be better off with the Activ variant, which comes with all the features and comforts you need to remain safe and active.

The new Chevrolet Spark hatchback is offered in four trim levels, just like its predecessor: LS, 1LT, Activ, and 2LT. All Sparks are powered by a 98-horsepower engine, equipped with a five-speed manual transmission, and offered with front-wheel drive. Starting at $13,600, the Spark LS features a decent set of standard features, such as cloth upholstery, manually adjustable front seats, a manual liftgate, manual windows, and 15-inch steel wheels. Among the infotainment features are a 7-inch touch screen, Apple CarPlay, and Android Auto, a rearview camera, Bluetooth, two USB ports, and a four-speaker stereo system. At $17,000, the top-of-the-line 2LT trim adds a leather-wrapped steering wheel, synthetic leather seating, and heated front seats.

A stylish and economical car, the Chevrolet Spark has a lot of features. If you're shopping for a long-term solution, you'd be better off with the Activ variant, which comes with all the features and comforts you need to remain safe and active.
Spark 2022 has already been released and is available for pre-order on the official Chevrolet website as well as at local dealerships.
The 2022 Chevy Spark comes equipped with a similar engine as its predecessor. It’s a 1.4-liter four-cylinder engine that churns out 98 horsepower and 94 pound-feet of torque. It comes standard with a five-speed manual transmission and front-wheel drive. There is an available CVT transmission as well. The Spark's engine surprises when combined with a manual transmission, as it zips from 0-60 mph with surprising ease regardless of its modest power.
The 2022 Chevrolet Spark has a top speed of 89 mph and can sprint from 0-60 mph in just over 10.7 seconds. The quarter-mile will take just over 18.0 seconds. Driving in the city is where the Chevy Spark shines. Its fast steering and small turning radius make parking in tight spaces and maneuvering through narrow streets a breeze. While its taut suspension allows it to move smoothly around curves, potholes will cause the Spark to slip. A set of powerful brakes keeps the Spark in control.

While the Mitsubishi Mirage has a striking look, it lacks the power to compete with the other competitors. With 78 horsepower and 74 pounds of torque, the Mitsubishi Mirage is far behind the other contenders. With its 120 horsepower and 112 pound-feet of torque, the Kia Rio tops the list, perhaps the most powerful in the segment, followed by the Chevrolet Spark. In addition, the Kia Rio has the fastest acceleration among the bunch, clocking 8.9 seconds to the 60 mph mark.
With the CVT, the 2022 Chevy Spark achieves city fuel economy of 30 mpg, highway fuel economy of 38 mpg, and combined fuel efficiency of 33 mpg. This rating drops to 29 mpg in the streets and 38 mpg on the freeway when the manual transmission is employed. Fuel economy is okay, but not class-leading. It features a 9-gallon fuel tank, which means you'll be able to travel around 300 miles on a single refill, which is a great deal for small families hoping to drive short distances.

Its rivals are more fuel-efficient than the Chevrolet Spark, especially in city driving. With a 36 mpg city/43 mpg highway/39 mpg combined rating, the Mitsubishi Mirage tops the list. The Kia Rio assumes the second position, which sports the largest fuel tank in the category with 11.9 gallons, and returns 36 mpg in a combined case.
The interior of the 2022 Chevrolet Spark is designed with comfort in mind, with both driver and passengers able to work around a single center console design that only requires the use of one arm to complete required tasks. The cabin was designed to handle extended trips while maintaining personal room for all three passengers. The interior is simple and unadorned. Most of the materials appear to be hard and cheap. The dashboard design is simple but attractive, and most of the panels feel solidly constructed. Spark's price is affordable, so it isn't a bad deal. Base models do not have power windows or keyless entry, so we recommend staying away from them.
This year's Chevrolet Spark, like its predecessor, has room for four people. Typically, most of the hatchbacks seat five people. The Spark is incredibly spacious upfront, allowing even taller passengers to sit comfortably. It's not very comfortable in the front seats, and there are limited adjustments for the steering wheel and seat. The legroom is very limited in the back, and the rear seats are quite firm. Smaller children can sit in the back comfortably, but adults may find it uncomfortable. Its rear seats can be folded down to create 27.2 cubic feet of cargo space. With the back seats upright, the Chevy Spark has 11 cubic feet of cargo space.

Compared to other hatchbacks in the segment, the Spark offers the least cargo and seat space. Some of the noteworthy interior features of the 2022 Chevrolet Spark include:
While the cabin of the 2022 Spark is cute and clean its infotainment system is utterly convenient. The infotainment system is among the most straightforward that is available in a modern compact car. It features a 7-inch customizable instrument cluster display with MyLink infotainment makes accessing your favorite apps, music, and contacts a breeze. Touch screen controls are intuitive and quick to respond, plus Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide seamless smartphone integration with the touchscreen. You can adjust the climate and audio settings while driving by using the physical controls below the screen. The base trims are equipped with a four-speaker system, while the Activ and 2LT trims are equipped with a six-speaker sound system.
The 2022 Chevrolet Spark infotainment includes the following features:
The 2022 Chevy Spark captures the youthful, expressive design that you've come to expect from Spark's lineup of vehicles. The signature Chevy front-end appearance with larger grille openings provides a more open and inviting appearance. Flush headlamps, which help give the vehicle an overall bold appearance, give it a premium look. The 2022 Chevrolet Spark is the ultimate in simplicity on the road. The exterior is all rounded corners, with its large windshield and long hood giving it a classic car appearance. In order to ease nighttime driving, red-lit LED lights can be accessed by pressing a button on the center console. In spite of the Spark's affordable price, its premium design lends it a premium look. In inclement weather, you can see more of the road ahead with heated door mirrors and a rear spoiler in this subcompact hatchback. All in all, the exterior of the car is prepared to be futuristic. It features a sporty front end, a midsection with distinctive side skirts, and a rear end with circular taillights.

2021 Chevrolet Spark's compact size makes it the most maneuverable of its competition, but it falls short in terms of comfort and seating space. Despite the Kia Rio's weight and bulkiness, it is the segment's most comprehensive hatchback, which leads in every aspect: length, width, and weight and also gets the best wheelbase of 101.6 inches. However, Chevrolet and Mitsubishi hatchbacks do get better ground clearances of 6.7 and 6.3 inches, respectively. Highlights of the 2022 Chevrolet Spark exterior include:
The 2022 Spark has not yet been crash-tested by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration or the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. Since the 2022 version of Spark doesn't have many improvements over its predecessor, we will talk about the safety of this version. NHTSA hasn't tested the 2021 Chevrolet Spark yet, though IIHS gave it some good scores in a few areas. Safety technology found on the Spark gets even better for the 2022 model. This vehicle has been engineered to be as safe as possible, with features such as forward collision alert, lane-keep assist, rear cross-traffic alert, and side blind zone alert. In addition, if you're willing to spend some more money, you'll get some extra features to improve your driving experience. Other safety features include:
Kia Rio and Spark are two of the best options for shoppers looking for a good hatchback. How do they compare? If you're not carrying a large family or a bunch of luggage, you'll benefit from either. The Kia Rio, however, clearly has an edge when it comes to fuel economy and interior space, while the Spark can handle well and offers a good ride. Moreover, the Spark is more reliable than the Rio, but the Rio comes with a more advanced set of safety features.
In the compact hatch segment, both the Mitsubishi Mirage and Chevrolet Spark have established names. It is true that there are plenty of differences between these two cars, but Chevy drivers don't have to worry about everything. This car makes a few things up for its higher price point, its space for storage, and its sleek design. In terms of gas mileage and interior space, the Mirage offers better performance, but the Chevrolet Spark offers a better quality cabin and a sturdy build coupled with lively handling.
With the 2022 Chevrolet Spark, you'll experience a burst of energy in a sexy, fun, and affordable little car. It has all the right ingredients to make it a great vehicle for urban dwellers who are constantly on the go. Whether you are running errands or commuting to work or school, the Spark makes the time spent behind the wheel as comfortable as possible.
If you’re in quest of a great daily commuting option at an extremely affordable price, we suggest you consider buying the Chevrolet Spark. There are no better alternatives in this price range. Besides, it is a very reliable car with a very good score on J.D. Power, which means the probability that it will get into some sort of trouble is very low.
