The 2022 Lexus ES 300h continues with the same power unit as the 2021 model year, which is a 2.5-liter inline-4 along with a permanent magnet hybrid motor that makes a combined output of 215 bhp and 174 lb-ft of torque. The engine is paired to a continuously variable transmission (CVT) which directs the power to the FWD drivetrain.
The electric motor does assist the engine, but it is more focused on providing longer range and better MPG figures than actually giving high performance. The Lexus ES 300h offers 3 different driving modes Normal, Eco, and Sport to choose from. Which tunes the steering, suspension, transmission, and throttle response accordingly.

The braking system of the ES 300h has been improved by optimizing the regeneration and electrically controlled braking system and Lexus also comes with a bigger braking pedal for the driver.

2022 Lexus ES300h vs 2021 BMW 530e
The Lexus ES300h and the BMW 530e might not be the most viable competitors to one other keeping in mind the price, however, in a restricted segment of hybrid luxury sedans, buyers tend to create a tradeoff between. For us, the lower priced Lexus ES300h seems to be the more practical option. While it is not as responsive to throttle as its German counterpart, the Japanese sedan has advantage in terms of efficiency, better interior space, a practical boot, and proven reliability.
2022 Lexus ES300h vs 2021 Toyota Avalon Hybrid
The 2022 Lexus ES300h and 2021 Toyota Avalon Hybrid are basically the same vehicles that get based on the similar underpinnings and the option between the two will depend on your luxury appetite. Given that they are equally efficient, have similar acceleration, and are vaunt reliability as their unique selling propositions, we believe that the Toyota Avalon that gets a lower price and better cargo space, makes for a superior option.
The 2022 Lexus ES 300h has already been released on April 18 and will be available at dealerships in Fall 2021. The Lexus ES 300h comes with many new features including a facelifted front fascia, new interior dashboard design, infotainment system, and the new and updated Lexus Safety System+ 2.5.
Lexus has not yet provided a price for the 2022 Lexus ES 300h but is expected to be priced at $43,000. For this price, we recommend buying the 2022 Lexus ES 300h because of the improved safety system, the new interior dashboard design and will give you a comfortable ride while being friendly to the environment. Additionally, it is priced lesser than the BMW 530e.
