Mechanical Problems

• Engine random loss of power -. Multiple users have stated that the engine, without sufficient warning, would lose power in between operations. There have also been problems with the engine coolant unnecessarily overheating and the vehicle jerking unnecessarily. 

• Problems with the parking brakes -. The parking brakes have been notified by multiple users to disengage and move backward, this has caused minor inconvenience to the owners.

• Transmission problem - Multiple users of the 2020 Edge have stated trouble with the transmission. • Structure, Bad built - One user had stated that while in operation the individual found the vehicle being difficult to steer, and the sounds of gears crashing. The individual has been notified by Ford that it was a weld failure from the manufacturer.

• Sensors - Users have stated that the liftgate sensors have failed to act to proper function, multiple times. This has caused minor injuries, as far as it was stated.
