Even with tough competition, the Ford Edge is a well-established name in the "affordable midsize SUVs" market. Three words can briefly describe the Ford SUV: spacious, composed, and fuel-efficient. However, unlike most Ford vehicles that are considered to be moderately reliable, the 2020 Ford Edge has had its fair share of problems. The SUV, as of this date, has 3 recalls, one open investigation, and 31 complaints.

While the problem with the "rear-view camera" is the one that stands out the most to users, there have also been problems stated with the brakes and transmission in general. In its segment; the competition for Ford Edge is the Hyundai Palisade, the Kia Sorento, and the Nissan Murano. Check out the video below by "MasterCarsPro" where they showcase all the major issues faced by the 2020 Edge owners.

Should you buy the 2020 Ford Edge

As far as the research indicates, the Ford Edge is a decent choice in terms of features provided. With over 108,000 sales the numbers can’t lie. However, there are serious issues with the Ford SUV, the safety and transmission are the most concerning problem for the 2020 Edge. If you do choose to buy the 2020 Ford Edge, over the likes of the Hyundai Palisade, the Kia Sorento we advise you to do the due diligence. Give a thorough check, especially the electrical connection of the rearview camera, and whether it’s all good in the transmission department.
