Used 2015 Nissan Sentra SL for sale 

Like always, even this vehicle from the house of Nissan comes with plenty of options in its bag. For starters, the Sentra is offered in five different trim levels, each of which are complemented with a plethora of standard and optional accessories. Trims include S, FE+ S, SV, SR and SL as main levels. As with the options, available packages are the Cold Weather package, the Premium package and the Navigation package which adds a decent amount of equipment to the sedan.

Given the bulk of features and a very competitive pricing, the SV trim is highly popular among the people. We too recommend the same as it strikes perfect balance between feature-laden convenience and driveability.

Powering this sedan is a 1.8-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 130 horsepower. The base S has a six-speed manual transmission, and every other trim has a continuously variable automatic transmission, which Nissan calls Xtronic CVT.

This car will get you around town fine, but many rivals have stronger engines and quicker acceleration. The Sentra engine feels especially weak while accelerating on the highway. The CVT is smooth, however.

As mentioned before, the Sentra is bested by almost all the competitors in consideration. Starting with the Toyota Corolla which is just marginally more powerful than the Sentra, all the way up to the Honda Civic Si, which tears through the charts with mammoth 205 HP output. A similar trend can be observed in the acceleration performance of these vehicles, with the Nissan finishing last in each case. 

The Sentra sedan with the CVT gets fuel economy estimates of 29 mpg in the city and 37 mpg on the highway (27/35 mpg city/highway with the manual gearbox). The fuel-efficient FE + S trim gets 30/38 mpg city/highway. Regardless, both these figures are way better than many of the rival vehicles in the segment.

Toyota Corolla is the only vehicle which performs better than the Sentra in this section. The Chevrolet Cruze too, presents a considerable stand with a combined economy of 30 MPG. Meanwhile, the Honda Civic Si comes last with just 26 MPG to offer,but these are still better considering the performance it offers. The Cruze has the biggest fuel tank in the segment. 

Taller drivers will welcome the Nissan Sentra's unexpectedly spacious front seats. Rear-seat passengers aren't left out either. Indeed, the rear accommodations are so spacious that the Sentra practically feels like a midsize sedan from the backseat.

Although the Sentra's conservative overall interior design isn't going to wow you, everything in the cabin is solidly screwed together. At the same time, cabin materials are merely average. Nissan lined up the armrests of the door with the top of the center console, and the contact points are a soft-touch material. 

Trunk space is better than any other models in this class than the Cruze, and it feels that way. It’s a large, chest-like cargo area that could fit a couple large suitcases or a very large load of groceries. All trims come not only with a folding rear center armrest, but also a split-folding arrangement that lets you flip the seat backs forward (not flat) to an expanded area.

2015 Nissan Sentra Infotainment:

Apart from a capacious cabin, the Sentra also inherits a large set of entertainment facilities. Standout features include optional keyless entry/ignition that was once a luxury-car item, as well as smartphone app integration (NissanConnect), which allows you to do Google searches via the car's 5.8-inch touchscreen interface in navigation-equipped models.

In Sentras without navigation, you can still stream Internet radio (Pandora or iHeartRadio) and monitor text messages and social media.

Softly sculpted sheet metal, substantial proportions and shiny-object LED headlight accents and taillights all combine to give Nissan’s 2015 Sentra sedan class-above parking-lot presence. All models feature a chrome-finish grille, chrome-finish door handles and body-color painted side mirrors, while up-level versions feature alloy wheels, fog lights and side-mirror-integrated turn signals.

The sportier-looking but similarly tuned Sentra SR includes a rear spoiler, chrome exhaust-tip finisher, unique 17-inch alloy wheels and other sporty add-ons all around.

The advantage in ergonomics can be clearly observed through the large dimensions of the 2015 Nissan Sentra. It is just an inch short from being the longest car in the segment, but still features the largest wheelbase. The width on offer is enormous given the dimensions of rivals like the Chevrolet Cruze or the Toyota Corolla. Moreover, it is also weighed adequately - neither too light nor too heavy.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety named the 2015 Sentra a Top Safety Pick, the organization’s second-highest award. The IIHS also gave it the highest score of Good in five crash tests. The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration gave the 2015 Sentra an overall rating of four out of five stars. Other than basics like seat-mounted airbags, no standard safety features come standard in the 2015 Sentra. A rearview camera is optional. Most rivals offer more safety features.

The Nissan Sentra is a good basic car for daily driving. The car comes with many good features but they are available on higher trims. With a good amount of space and decent technology features, the Nissan Sentra is a good choice to keep in mind when buying a car from this segment.
