Overall Rating
The 2016 RAM 1500 offers one of the best built Cabins of any pickup trucks along with one of the most fuel efficient turbodiesel powertrains.
The 2016 RAM 1500 separates itself from the crowd by focusing more on making the truck more appealing to the crowd that likes the ruggedness of pickup trucks rather than needing them for work, but that doesn’t mean that the RAM is behind any of its competitors in terms of utility.
To say that one trim is better than the other would be an injustice as all of the trims are supposed to serve specific purposes the Tradesman is the work truck while the Laramie or the Longhorn may be a Status symbol for some. But to choose one most versatile trim we would recommend the HFE as it offer impressive fuel efficiency along with great features at an affordable price as well.

The Ram 1500 does the best impression of a big rig, but it can be plush inside. - The Car Connection
The Design philosophy of the RAM 1500 is quite different than its competitors, it still follows a more traditional design language as compared to the likes of Chevy's Silverado or the Ford F-150. Every trim has its own unique grille especially the Rebel trim which is the off-road trim and looks like it means business.
