Used 2021 RAM 1500 TRX for sale 

The 2021 Ram 1500 Crew Cab can be availed in a total of 6 trim options, namely - Tradesman, Big Horn, Laramie, Rebel, Limited Longhorn, and Limited. The prices start from an MSRP of $35,645 for the base Tradesman and range up to $56,850 for the top-of-the-line Limited trim.

All the trims are offered with an RWD configuration, with AWD being an optional extra. Also, all the trims of this full-size light-duty truck, by default, are powered by a 3.6L V6 engine. Aside from the standard MSRP for basic engine config, opting for the 5.7L V8 costs an additional $1495.

The same motor invites another $200 more for the mild-hybrid eTorque engine. Each of the trim comes in three body styles - Crew Cab 5'7" box, Crew Cab 6'4" box, and Quad Cab 6'4" box, except for the Laramie Longhorn and Limited trims, which do not have a Quad Cab style box.

The Ram 1500 gets a total of 3 gasoline engine options - a standard 3.6L V6, a 5.7L V8, and a more powerful 6.2L Hellcat V8. An eight-speed automatic transmission is standard regardless of the engine choices. The standard 3.6L V6 engine of the truck is capable of churning out 305 hp along with 269 lb-ft of torque. 

If you are looking for beastly performance, a 5.7-liter HEMI V8 engine is also available which makes around 395 horses and 410 lb-ft. of torque. Both engines are aided by a 48-volt electrical system that behaves more as a propulsion assist rather than a true hybrid. It comes as standard across the range on the lesser 3.6-liter V6. On the more powerful 5.7-liter V8, that eTorque system remains optional.

Then comes the supercharged RAM 1500 TRX with a Hellcat V8, which with 702 horses on point is one of the fastest trucks in the world, with a 3.7 second 0-60 MPH time. The regular Ram 1500 can sprint from 0-60 mph in 7.5 seconds and can cover a quarter-mile drag in 14.7 seconds, which is pretty impressive accounting for the massive structure and heavy weight. Apart from the gasoline variants, this pickup is also available with a 3.0L V6 turbo-diesel engine option rated to have a maximum towing capacity of 12,560 lbs.

Speaking of the towing capacity, the Ram 1500 can tow a standard maximum of 7730 pounds, which is decent for a light-duty truck. However, equip this Crew Cab with the right components and it offers a maximum towing capacity of 11,750 pounds, which is more than all other pickups in this segment, except the obvious Ford F-150. Moreover, for the model year 2021, RAM is also offering improved trailer-specific features, such as the multifunction tailgate that further eases the task of carrying stuff.

The 2021 Ram 1500 can roll for 20 miles in the city or can cruise through 25 miles on the highway for every gallon of gasoline, with the base 3.6L V6. Meanwhile, the optional 5.7L V8 engine returns an average of 17 MPG in the city and 23 MPG on the highway. The turbo-diesel, on the other hand, delivers 22 and 32 MPG in the city and highway respectively. Concisely, with the AWD set up across the board, the fuel efficiency drops by 1 MPG.

The Ram 1500 Crew Cab benefits greatly from its hybrid powertrain. Consequently, it has the most fuel-efficient engine. Ford uses a smaller 3.3L variant of the same V6. Still, the F-150's mpg figures do not exceed that of Ram due to the lack of a hybrid powertrain. The bigger V6 engines on the Silverado and Sierra 1500s offer better torque, which is why they fall behind in fuel economy.

The recent redesign of the 2019 RAM 1500 Crew Cab did get significant exterior tweaks. This included a sleeker side structure, bolder front, new LED headlight design, and new bumpers. Since the design is still fresh, the 2021 model will witness absolutely no changes on the exterior front.

RAM 1500 vs Chevrolet Silverado 1500

Though the power and engine choices offered in this Chevy pickup are higher than RAM 1500, the latter has a much better performance and fuel economy to offer. The towing capacity of the Silverado 1500 and Ram 1500 are pretty much similar.
