How much does a 2021 Toyota Camry cost?

The 2021 Toyota Camry is available in a total of six trims - LE, SE, SE Nightshade, XLE, XSE, and TRD - splitting into 13 different configurations. Like the 2020 Camry, the 2021 model's diverse engine options appeal to the masses. You can get a 2021 Camry XLE with the 203 hp 2.5L inline-4 starting at $29,945 while the 2021 Toyota Camry XSE, with the available 301 hp V6 engine, has an MSRP of $35,620. Though, the 2021 Toyota Camry TRD (reviewed separately) is still the cheapest of all Camry models to equip the V6 engine.

Which Toyota Camry model is right for me?

The 2021 Camry has a new entry point with the LE trim, starting at an MSRP of $25,045. Next-in-line SE trim starts at $26,560 while the SE Nightshade costs $27,260. The 2021 Toyota Camry XLE is priced at $29,945 while the XSE starts at $30,495. For the AWD drivetrain, Toyota charges $1,400 extra on all Camry trims. All Camry Hybrid models get a lower starting MSRP by almost $1,200 starting from the model year 2020. The gas-only Toyota Camry offers two engine options - a base 203 hp 2.5L inline-4 as standard and a more powerful 301 hp 3.5L V6 engine as optional for the XLE and XSE trims only.

The Camry TRD gets the 301 hp 3.5L V6 as standard. All trims get an FWD drivetrain as standard while AWD is optional. All levels are also equipped with Toyota’s exclusive Safety Sense 2.5+ feature that adds forward-collision warning, automated emergency braking, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, and adaptive cruise control. Of the many trims, the 2021 Camry SE Nightshade is a special edition model that adds exclusive features such as 18-inch wheels, a trunk-mounted spoiler, and full-speed adaptive cruise control along with a blacked-out exterior treatment and dark interior color scheme.

The 2021 Toyota Camry gets minor updates this year and adds safety and tech features. However, from the trim levels available, the XLE should be the one to pick for $29,945. With the Camry XLE, you get a taste of all of the best features of the moniker like the bigger 9-inch touchscreen system, leather upholstery, and power-adjustable and heated seats to name a few. The Toyota Camry offers a total of 3 engine options to choose from - a 203 hp 2.5-liter I-4 (206 hp in XSE), a 301 hp naturally aspirated 3.5-liter V-6, and a 208 hp hybrid (reviewed separately). All gasoline models, except Camry TRD, get the 2.5L naturally aspirated Inline-4 engine generating a torque output of 184 lb-ft (186 in XSE) as standard. The higher trims like XLE and XSE, both of which come for $35,070 and $35,620 respectively, get the smooth and punchy 3.5L naturally aspirated V6 motor producing 267 lb-ft of torque as well.

Is 2021 Toyota Camry AWD?

An 8-speed Direct Shift ECT-i Automatic is standard across all the trims. For your 2021 Camry, however, you will be able to choose either a standard front-wheel-drive (FWD) or an optional all-wheel-drive (AWD) costing around $1,400 more than the FWD. The Camry Hybrid even offers multiple driving modes - Eco, Normal, Sport, and EV - too. For 2021, Toyota adds the range-topping XSE trim to the Camry Hybrid's lineup as well.

The gas-only Camry manages to reach 0-60 mph in 7.6 seconds and takes 15.7 seconds for completing a quarter-mile. The V6 equipped Camry TRD takes 5.5 seconds to reach 60 mph from a standstill and has a top speed of up to 136 mph. In comparison to the rivals, the Accord turned out to be the fastest with a 0-60 mph time of 6.9 seconds.

Compared to the others, the Camry does not do justice to its specs since the Honda Accord offers better 0-60 mph performance. The Hyundai Sonata is even slower than the Camry at 7.9 seconds. The Nissan Altima is the most underpowered and yet is just 0.1 seconds slower in the 0-60 mph sprint.

Can the 2021 Toyota Camry drive in snow?

The Toyota Camry will get almost the same fuel efficiency for 2021 as the outgoing version since the powertrain remains identical. The gas-only models of this midsize sedan will offer maximum mileage of 28 mpg in the city, 39 mpg on the highway, with a combined efficiency of 32 mpg. If you opt for the AWD Camry, the combined fuel economy drops by about three mpg in the city and on highways.

The trims like TRD, XLE, and XSE, all of which come with the 3.5L naturally aspirated V6 motor, put out a lower combined gas mileage of 25 mpg, with 22 mpg in the city and 31 mpg on the highway. However, if you opt for the hybrid variant on offer, it returns an excellent combined mileage of 46 mpg. With a fuel tank capacity of 13.2 gallons, it manages to provide a combined cruising range of 607 miles.

The high MPG figures of the Toyota Camry make it a popular choice among buyers. The Honda Accord, however, comes to the top position with a combined 33 mpg, which is followed by Nissan Altima with 32 mpg combined. However, the Altima leads with its 16.2-gallon tank to offer up to 632 miles of driving range in a single fill-up.

The 2021 Camry gets a mild exterior refresh this year that comes with an LED headlights and LED DRLs along with a blacked-out grille and elegant looking 19-inch alloy wheels for the higher trims like XSE.
