"The Pathfinder does a good job of hauling people and cargo in relative comfort and Nissan has given a lot of tech and driver-aids too." - Edmunds
The interior of the 2022 Nissan Pathfinder has seen massive improvements as compared to the outgoing model. Compared with its predecessor, the new Pathfinder's dashboard looks far more attractive, and its tech offerings are finally up to class standards. The cabin feels more premium and the overall design is more modern than the truck-like designs of the past.Â
The base S trim does not get the power front seats but gets recline function for both the second and third-row seats with cloth upholstery. Upgrade to the SV trim and you get the heated front seats with a power driver seat and a leather steering wheel. A three-zone climate control system is also standard across the trim ladder.Â
The SL trim gets both power front seats along with a heated steering wheel and leather upholstery. The Platinum trim adds ventilation function for the front seats and heated rear seat. A wireless charging pad is also standard while the garage door transmitter is available from SL trim onwards
Opt for the regular middle-row bench and seating jumps back to a total of eight passengers. Interior quietness has been greatly improved, with acoustic laminated front glass, thicker 2nd-row glass, increased door, and floor isolation, and a 60 percent increase in engine noise absorption. The 16.6 cu-ft of trunk space is just on par with the segment standards but folding down both the rear seats can open up a maximum of 80.5 cu-ft.Â

The Highlander has cabin space similar to that of the Pathfinder both in terms of passenger and cargo space. The Telluride offers the largest cargo capacity in this comparison while the Explorer with its longer wheelbase opens up the most amount of legroom and a larger trunk than the Pathfinder.
Nissan offers an 8-inch infotainment screen as standard which is bumped to a 9-inch head unit on higher trims.Â
The standard infotainment system is an 8.0-inch touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. However, there's also a 12.3-inch driver digital instrument screen as an option. The larger infotainment screen can be had with wireless Apple CarPlay capability and a wireless smartphone charging pad as well. Satellite radio, Wi-Fi hotspot, and an in-dash navigation system are also standard on the new 2022 Pathfinder.
The standard 6-speaker audio system is also upgraded to a 13-speaker Bose audio system with dual subwoofers on the top Platinum trim.Â
