"To match its dramatic exterior, the cabin of the Elantra looks appropriately futuristic." - Car and Driver
The 2022 Hyundai Elantra interior keeps up with its sporty and flashy exterior. With Hyundai’s new Jet-inspired design language, the dashboard and center console wrap around the driver while the passenger’s side takes a more plane and simpler approach. However, there's more to this than what meets the eye. The interior on the Elantra is lined with tons of hard plastic surfaces and components, and this takes way the overall appeal that the interior offers with its design.
Overall interior quality is decent, and the controls are robust and feel on par. Coming to seating and comfort, the Elantra is a spacious car on the inside. This combined with the well-cushioned and supportive front and second-row seats offer a very satisfying experience, making this car a great companion on long journeys. The adjustable front seat helps to accommodate all types of drivers, and the large windows and doors offer excellent amounts of outward visibility.

Getting in and out of the Elantra again is a simple task, thanks to the wide-opening doors and a low seat height. Against the rivals, the Elantra is decently sized. It offers the most headroom in the front, and is on par with the Civic for its 42.3 inches of front legroom. In the rear, the Forte has a spacious headroom on offer at 37.5 inches, whereas the Elantra again takes the first spot in terms of rear legroom which is 0.6 inches more than the Civic's. The Forte again offers the most cargo capacity at 15.3 cu-ft.
The infotainment unit on the Elantra sees no changes. The base trims get an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment display, whereas the higher trims get a 10.25-inches digital instrument gauge with a 10.3-inches touchscreen infotainment screen. Both the screens use Hyundai's latest infotainment interface and are very easy to use. Touch responses on the screens are very quick, and everything runs smoothly. Some of the offered interior features on the Elantra include:
- Heated front seats
- Keyless entry and push-button start
- Power-adjustable front driver seat
- Cloth and leather combination upholstery
- Satellite Radio
- Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto (only with the 8-inch touchscreen)
- Eight-speaker Bose premium audio system
