Subaru comes straight back in style to the ongoing Recall rage, as it announced not one but two issues, including 900,000 vehicles. The details of these recalls have been listed below
- 466,000 vehicles, including Crosstrek, Impreza models, have problems with the engine control module(ECM)
- 405,000 vehicles Crosstrek and Forester model have loose bolts on the rear stabilizer bracket
The recall concerning the engine control module(ECM) would be for the model year 2017-2019 Impreza sedans and hatchbacks and model year 2018-2019 Crosstrek SUVs. For remedy, dealers will assess, as necessary, upgrade the engine controller module and then replace all ignition coils. The ignition coils could degrade over time and cause starting issues or stall the vehicle during operation. The ECM may keep powering the ignition coil after the engines have been shut off, heading to a short circuit or a blown fuse.
The recall for bolts onto the back stabilizer bracket includes model year 20-19 Forester wagons along with Crosstrek SUVs. The bolts may come loose, and loose mounts may subsequently interact with different components, resulting in damage and raising the probability of a collision. As a cure, dealers may examine and re-torque the bolts.
Subaru says it isn't notified of any incidents or injuries induced by the issues mentioned above. Additionally, this fault prompting the recall has less chance to cause an incident.
The carmaker says it's going to start telling clients over the coming 60 days. Also, inquire about each vehicle owner to get in touch with an official Subaru merchant whenever they receive the prompt.
