Nissan has bestowed the Murano with a rather handsome life cycle refresh and a new 9-speed transmission, replacing the lethargic CVT.
The 2025 Nissan Murano Is Here With Massaging Seats and Svelte Styling

Compared to the old unit, the new 2025 Nissan Murano has a 2.6-inch wider body and flared rear fenders, that make it look like a Gym Bro of SUVs.

Nissan has also given the 2025 Murano a pair of fancy-looking “Crystal Cube” LED headlights set against a glossy black trim, distinct from the grille. A de facto full-width LED light bar is also present along with hidden exhaust tips and wipers.

The refresh continues inside with new flat-bottom steering and a pair of massive dual 12.3-inch displays accompanied by a probable recipe for a frustrating user experience, a capacitive-touch panel for climate controls and push-button shifters.

The display comes integrated with features like Android Auto and Apple Carplay. Along with two front and two rear USB Type-C ports and a standard wireless phone charger in the center console. All 2025 Nissan Murano models include Active Sound Cancellation, while SL and Platinum trims boast a Bose 10-speaker audio system.

A standout feature is the Murano Glass dashboard, a welcome addition, that showcases color-shift graphics and textures that interact beautifully with light, inspired by the iconic Venetian glasswork.

Nissan says that its interior colors are inspired by the golden light of California sunsets. The Platinum grade offers semi-aniline quilted leather in with either black, grey, or brown.

Trim-dependent options for 2025 Murano include a panoramic moonroof, heated, cooled, and massaging front seats, a heated steering wheel, and 64-color ambient lighting.

Rear passengers especially tall ones will enjoy available sunshades and heated seats, along with increased knee room thanks to slimmer front seats and a 0.8-inch longer cabin distance.

For the first time, the rear seats incorporate Nissan's famous Zero Gravity design for added support, and the rear doors open wider for easier access, especially when installing child safety seats.

The cargo area provides 32.9 cubic feet of space with the second row up, expanding to 63.5 cubic feet when folded flat. A standard power liftgate is included, with the Platinum trim offering a motion-activated version.

Under the hood, the Murano features a responsive 2.0-liter VC-Turbo engine producing 241 horsepower and 260 lb-ft of torque—an increase of 20 lb-ft over the previous model. It’s paired with a new 9-speed automatic transmission.
