Overall Rating
Under the hood of the Infiniti QX80 lies the same last year's V8 engine that is not only robust but helps the SUV to tow 8,500 pounds without much effort. When equipped with a four-wheel-drive configuration, the SUV seems to be unstoppable.
Buyers looking for an all-around performer SUV with an array of luxury options, the 2019 Infiniti QX80 is one such car that would fulfill their needs. The Infiniti QX80 is carried over for 2019 unchanged from the 2018 model year's refresh. It looks modern and tech-loaded from each corner. With the four-wheel-drive setup, the 2019 QX80 offers a superior ride and handling along with impressive towing capability.
We would recommend going with the Limited trim levels as it comes with an array of standard features that makes it superior to the base Luxe trim. Along with the four-wheel drive, the Limited trim gets an upgraded suspension system, large 22-inch wheels, dual-tone leather, heated and cooled front seats, and advanced driver safety features.

The QX80's engine is only second to the Cadillac in terms of power output, otherwise performance-wise, it is robust.
The QX80 SUV manages a sprint from halt to 60 mph in just 6.2 seconds, which is somewhat normal in the segment. With aV8 under its hood, the 6 second past acceleration is acceptable. Also, the weight of the SUV is involved when it comes to quick acceleration. The ride dynamics displayed by the QX80 are just fantabulous. It remains surefooted on the terrain and lets you enjoy the long drive.

The Cadillac does the 0-60 mph sprint in just 5.7 seconds. It is a class leader when it comes to responsiveness. The Merc managed to take 0.3 seconds more and still that’s justified.
Infiniti QX80 offers the best in class ride and handling. With an upgraded suspension system with the Limited variant, the QX80 manages to do most of its tasks amazingly. The steering is very responsive and takes the SUV to slow to high speed in a balanced manner.
The QX80 gets independent suspension on both the front and rear. The Hydraulic Motion Control feature of the Deluxe Technology package actively works in conjunction with the chassis movement and works unfailingly.
The QX80 luxury SUV comes to halt in a mere 122 feet whilst going from 60-0 mph. The braking distance is quite impressive, to say the least. Equipped with smaller 13.8 brakes, the QX80 manages to stop at a reasonable distance without making any gesture.

The Infiniti QX 80 displays the best in class braking distance on the sheet but can be a little underwhelming with 8,500lbs of towing capability. However, the electronics aids the braking performance considerably. The QX80 gets standard all-around disc brakes, which are backed by advanced safety features like 4-channel ABS, EBD, and Brake Assist.
The Infiniti QX80 gets a gas guzzler tag as is expected with a V8 engine. With a performance of 14 mpg in the city, the QX 80 is way more to improve on this part. Here the rival car Merc GLS 450 offers better fuel economy. However, the highway fuel rating is still surprising at 23 mpg.

The Cadillac and the Merc are on the better side of the scale, with the Mercedes taking the lead in this section. Having an mpg of 19 the Mercedes is the perfect choice for the people who prioritize fuel economy. Following Mercedes in the department is the all-American Cadillac with a combined mileage of 17mpg.
The 2019 Infiniti QX80 remains the same in terms of the interior as the last year's model. The SUV is capable of carrying seven passengers. The third-row seating is still cramped, and there is no sign of improvement this year. Once you get inside, you find the luxury fittings across the cabin that offer a great ambiance altogether. What more you can expect from an Infiniti car.Â
The Limited trim offers better interior refinement compared to the base Luxe trim. The top-spec gets leather upholstery along with heated and cooled front seats. The infotainment still needs to be improved a bit. We can expect such improvements in the upcoming model years of the Infiniti QX80.Â

The Cadillac and the Mercedes overshadow the QX80 in terms of passenger space. The rivals also offer much more appealing interiors, with luxury options whilst the Infiniti QX 80 offers utility options.Â
Interior Features
With a Cargo volume of 16.6 cubic feet, the 2019 QX 80 offers class-leading trunk space. This will come in handy for buyers looking to buy utility-based vehicles that can do more than just carrying a little weight as a daily driver.Â

With the second-row seats folded, the QX80 offers 95.1 cubic feet of space. This is enough space to hold your baggage or weekend stuff whenever you plan for an inter-city travel or picnic.Â
Even after the update received in 2018, the infotainment system appears to be outdated when compared with the rival cars. The infotainment is less responsive and lacks rich contrast that could please the buyers.Â
There are two USB ports in the front seats. The system does not support modern smartphone connectivity as well. So you know that there’s room for improvement. The biggest disappointment is that there’s no Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Wish Infiniti adds these features in its next upgrade. Even the navigation is laggy and does not reflect the sign of the SUV gadget.Â
Dimension Wise, the Infiniti QX80 is just like any other big SUV in the class. The QX80 has got the highest ground clearance that gives it a tough and bold look. With higher ground clearance, the Infiniti gets a plus point for off-roading and towing capability.
There’s nothing much to talk about the exteriors as it remains similar to the 2018 QX80. We might see some major design tweaks in the next update of the car.

Some of the major exterior features include-
The 2019 Infiniti QX80 has not yet been crash-tested by NHTSA. The 2019 Infiniti QX80 comes loaded with safety features. This Japanese SUV stands out among its rivals on the basis of its flagship-level safety equipment. However, the rival cars offer better safety equipment at a premium. Few key safety features include-
The Infiniti QX80 offers a much better ride and handling than Lexus as it has a bigger and robust V8 engine. The Lexus 570 has the upper hand when it comes to interiors and the signature front grille. Offering more on the handling and riding front the QX80 is the obvious choice unless the interiors and infotainment bother you so much that you decide to overlook the other specs.
Both SUVs are big and full of utility options. The choice is yours. What you desire is what you get. The Infiniti gets a luxury quotient while the caddy is still serving its purpose with better acceleration and performance as an SUV. The Infiniti QX80’s suspension setup is far better than the Cadillac Escalade. The ride quality offered by the QX80 is unmatched here.
The 2019 Infiniti QX80 is a good SUV for buyers looking for an all-around utility vehicle with unbeatable performance and safety features. The SUV offers genuine towing capability along with rich interiors supported by ample passenger volume. The ride quality of the SUV is surplus with independent updated suspension fitted in the front and rear. Since the 2019 model hasn’t received any update after the 2018 refresh, the Car has somehow retained its charm among prospective buyers.
