We expect that the 2022 BMW 2 Series will also be offered in 4 trim levels like its predecessor. The 230i and high-performance M240i versions remain standard and are expected to be released first while the xDrive variants are expected for later release. We are expecting a few techs and design changes across the lineup. We have used the 2021 model’s data for reference.

Despite BMW claiming that the 2 Series being the most affordable offering, it’s quite expensive for this segment. So, we recommend going for the high-performance M240i xDrive variant as it offers all the features that car enthusiasts crave.

The 2022 BMW 2 Series Coupe will also reflect the same MPG figures as its predecessor considering it carries the same powertrain. On average, the 2 Series offers an exceptional fuel economy, especially when you consider the staggering performance it has on offer. The Audi A3 here offers the best fuel economy amongst the group, however, the number is not too significant as compared to the 2 Series, especially considering that the A3 is also the least powerful among all the cars here. As compared to the Mercedes, the MPG figures are identical, but due to the slightly bigger fuel tank, the 2 Series has a higher range. The Cadillac offers the worst efficiency of the bunch but due to the massive fuel tank, the range is exceptionally higher as compared to others.

The all-new 2022 BMW 2 series coupe will carry forward the same interior styling as its previous year’s model. Currently, no interior changes have been announced or teased by BMW for the new 2 Series Coupe. It will very likely offer the same plush cabin as its predecessor. Expect it to feature the most premium and high-quality materials throughout the cabin. The space inside its cabin, especially the front row, is pretty much the best in its segment. 

However, the rear seats are not the best and may feel a bit cramped as you would expect from a car of this segment. One can also choose to upgrade to the M-sport package which adds more premium-ness to its cabin that includes M-performance leather bolstering and stitching, upgraded dashboard panels, etc. The 2 Series Coupe offers 13.8 cubic feet of trunk volume which is a decent amount for any coupe. It has a better cargo capacity than most of its rivals except the Audi A3.

In terms of overall cabin space, the 2 Series fares well against the competition. It has the most amount of headroom than any car of the group. 2022 BMW 2 Series Coupe: Infotainment & Connectivity

The 2022 BMW 2 Series Coupe will continue with the same simple and well-organized infotainment system inside its cabin. The system is led by a giant 6.5-inch touch screen. The display screen along with all the other functionalities is a little bit tilted towards the driver side to make it easier to operate. Apart from that, it comes with 7 HiFi 205-watt.

As compared to the rivals, the 2 Series Coupe has the smallest dimensions. The Cadillac is the largest, followed closely by the Mercedes. The Audi seems to be the closest to the BMW, dimension-wise, but it’s significantly wider than the latter. All the cars share similar heft to them, however, the A3 is quite a bit lighter.
